The shorter (passenger) blade went on with no issues at all. Had to try the longer blade 4-5 times but finally it slid in and locked. Not sure what the issue was, maybe a small manufacturing burr in the ABS. These are definitely the correct blades for a 2017 VW Golf MK VII **Q: does it fit my 2016 VW Golf R?** A: These are not the correct wiper blades for your 16 VW Golf R.
