Amazing upgrade from Soundcore 1 & 2, perfect if you don't need AUX/3.5mm
TL;DR: - No aux - USB-C charging - Noticeably improved sound compared to gen 1 and gen 2 - much shorter delay in audio to video. No delay when connected to my Google TV Streamer 4k - Easily worth the price point in my opinion I've owned multiple Soundcore 1's and a couple of Soundcore 2's. One of my Soundcore 2's died on me after several years of service (first Soundcore to ever die on me) so I decided to give the Soundcore 3 a try. First of all, I messed up when I ordered this speaker (but I'm glad I did). I assumed this had an Aux port, but it doesn't. That's on me. This wasn't falsely advertised as having one, I had just made the assumption it would because the versions before had them. Unfortunately, what I originally needed it for required an aux jack. Thankfully, I own multiple Soundcores and all the rest have Aux jacks. Most of my Soundcores are driving audio for screens. This is why Aux was so important to me. Bluetooth audio typically has a 1 or 2 second delay. So I tried to find where I could make this work with Bluetooth. I have a Soundcore 1 hooked up to a projector that's being driven by a Google TV Streamer 4K. I know Google's streaming devices are usually pretty good at calculating delay with bluetooth speakers, so I connected the Soundcore 3 to the Google TV Streamer 4k (Not the projector) and it worked beautifully. IF there was ANY delay, it wasn't noticeable to my family and I. Pairing with bluetooth is easy as it was with the previous models: hold down the bluetooth button for a couple of seconds and the speaker will chime and the bluetooth light will flash, indicating it's ready to pair. There is a noticeable improvement to the sound with the Soundcore 3. The sound is clear, crisp, and the bass doesn't drown out the treble or mid. Controls are Simple and should be familiar to anyone who already owns a Soundcore 1 or 2. The middle button is the soundcore logo. It's replaced the play button, but does the same and also mimics many of the classic controls that wireless earbuds have. Example: 1 tap - pause/play. 2 taps - forward a song. 3 taps - restart / previous song The volume buttons are mid left and mid right where they've been on all models. The front has a new design compared to the 1 and 2. It has a very similar body to the soundcore 2 with a matte rubber like finish. It is slightly wider or "deeper" than the soundcore 2 front to back, but is similar in height, length and weight. The USB-C port is an awesome upgrade in my opinion. USB-C can charge devices MUCH faster than micro-USB, so if your device is dead and you need a charge, it can hit max battery a lot faster. VERY happy that I accidentally purchased this. I also tested it on a device that's not friendly with bluetooth delay sync, The delay was noticeable but CONSIDERABLY shorter compared to the Soundcore 1 and 2. I can't wait to start bringing this out by the pool this summer to play music for my family and guests.

I literally submerged it for 20 minutes and it still works great!
A lot of speakers will say they are "waterproof" or "water resistant" and it's a load of BS. This speaker delivers on the promise. When I got it out of the box, the sound was superb and the balancing options in the app give you decent options to customize your sound (admittedly, it could be better, but it's a fairly minor downside). The kicker is that I accidentally dropped it in a bucket while cleaning and it kept on playing audio like nothing happened, so I decided to leave it out of sheer curiosity. 20 minutes later, nothing changed. Sound was still great, and has continued to work just fine even weeks after that happened. It has amazing battery life and is easy to carry on top of all that. For the price, it can't be beat.

Whole house wireless music.
I purchased 3 of these about a year ago. They are great for good quality ambient music throughout my home. They don’t really get “party” loud but they are definitely loud enough. I usually keep the volume at half and it’s almost too loud as background music. I have adjusted the equalizer to get the sound just right. They have an app where you can boost the bass. It is easy to pair them together. They connect like any other Bluetooth. The charge lasts but I don’t like to plug and unplug them in. So I just keep them hooked up. Sometimes I hear distortion if I bring my phone close to one of the speakers. Like if I charge my phone near the speaker I hear some fuzz. But it goes away if you move the phone away. I’m considering buying a couple more. I have had other family members who have bought a few based on hearing them in my house.

Could be good, but has some issues
I've used some other Anker products so I though I'd give this one a try. Pros: * Bluetooth pairing: quick and seamless. No problems with dropouts. * Sound: Really good for such a small package. Decent frequency response, plenty of volume. * Solid, compact package. Has some heft to it, and feels built to last. Soft outer covering is a plus. * Charges via a USB C connector. Took a couple of hours to fully charge, then ran all night (and then some) without needing a recharge. Cons: * Makes a ridiculous bleeping sound when you turn it on or off or activate Bluetooth. Why? I could have done without that. * Set up is not obvious and the manual is useless. The only thing in English is the FCC compliance statement. And the pictures are anything but self-explanatory. They indicate, for example, batteries at one end of the unit, but I couldn't even find a way to open it much less replace the batteries -- the sizes of which are not specified anyway. Not sure what I'm going to do when the batteries finally do give out. * Still, I would have given this at least four stars -- until I discovered that it doesn't have full functionality without a phone and an app. Since the Bluetooth interface can only connect to one device at a time, I need to connect it to the phone to set up the controls, then disconnect the phone and connect the music player. If, after listening for a while you want to change a setting, you need to disconnect the music played, connect the phone, disconnect the phone, reconnect the music player . . . total pain in the ass. The set up functions should all be IN the device, and not require a phone. * The last straw was finding that the app didn't come with the device -- it has to be downloaded from either Apple or Google -- both of which require sign in. I don't appreciate having to share private information to use a personal device, and that knocked it down to three stars. Loose the musical cues and app requirement, and include some English in the manual, and you've got a good product here. As is, it's just so-so. ETA: The seller responded to my review and offered a refund. Any seller to cares enough to pay attention to reviews deserves another chance in my book, so I've upped my review a star. I hasten to add, I was NOT requested to change my review or my rating; I decided to change the rating on my own.

Best purchase I've made in years !
Whoa! The sound carries throughout the house even without turning the volume up high. I downloaded a music app and it links up pronto. The sound is incredible! Such a small item brings any music you feel like listening to anywhere you go. House, basement, garage, patio, anywhere. As long as you link it to your phone, which is a very easy process. And I'm older and not tech savvy. You can choose the type of music you want, or ask it to randomize, or choose a specific artist. Piano music in the background while you read or something with a beat to clean house by. The sky is the limit and the sound is insane.

Highly recommend
A little speaker with a powerful sound, the charge is easy long-lasting, a snap to connect. I bought two and would definitely buy again if needed. I saw a few negative reviews and really hesitated but I'm glad I went ahead.

Great little speaker
I got this speaker too replace my anker soundcore 1 which ended up developing a hole where the power button was, but I've had it for a long time and so something happening to wasn't unexpected. This speaker doesn't have the battery life of the old one, but then again nothing does, but the sound coming out of that little thing is way better than I expected.i also like the features it has like app support and pairing with other speakers.

Piacevolissima sorpresa!
