Dual Purpose - Reliable - Plug N Play Switch - Repeat Buyer
I have used TP-Link switches in the past and was surprised at the size of the box this one came in. This switch is smaller than previous models and can be used as a desktop switch or with the option rack ears, converted to a rack mountable switch. The my installation I did not need rack mounting so the compact size was beneficial. Even with the smaller cabinet size this switch still has a standard 110VAC power cord and internal power supply. That's great since it can be hard sometimes to find room for large wall wart power supplies. There's no software or network settings needed when using this switch. It auto navigates between 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds and front mounted LED give you visual confirmation on the connection and speed of your devices. For the Price ($75 @ time of review) it's hard to find a better value for a gigabit switch. I've installed more than a thirty TP-Link switches to date and so far they're all still running and performing as expected. I would recommend this switch for residential and business users.

Instructions lousy (they forgot to mention you need to re-boot routers) but item is excellent. Very solid metal construction. Great.

Beware of the non UK plug!
Seems to do the job just plug and play. Disappointingly it came with a non-UK plug so loses 2 stars as it's useless without an adapter or spare cable.
