Maybe it sounds strange to you, but I didn't know about these domes until I saw an ad for one. I thought it might be useful, so I got one. Useful? It is now a go-to, everyday utensil for everyone in our house. It works much better than a screen to keep down splashes when frying; it helps cook fish and burgers more evenly; it's good for melting cheese on a burger; it keeps the steam in if you're steaming something. Many uses. This dome is very nicely made, attractive and sturdy. Now I need to get a few different sizes for different size pans.
