Best French press I've used
I've had several French presses. All glass except the one for camping. This thing blows all the others out of the water, its bulky like very sturdy, I've used it one time. The coffee is clean. As in no grounds in it like some of the other French presses do. I put boiling water in it and boom 10 mins later the bottom warm to the touch. I have no worries of it burning the kitchen counters or the wood table. I can honestly say the old 20 year old camping French press is probably retired after this. Oh yeah the best part. It looks so cool and stylish..

Exceptional
I've bought a lot of coffee-makers. Coffee is important to me. I'll spend whatever to get that quality one-of-a kind taste to start another day. I've bought many French press coffee-makers too. Some of the so-called best are a disappointment. Usually German-made things are good. I bought a French-press that was apparently a German owned company but was not any good at all. The plunger didn't fit well and so you had to press and press and then suddenly it would go down but spray your stove and back-splash (and my hand too with hot-water until I learned what a piece of garbage this "German" French press was and so gave it to Good will)... This made the best quality coffee I've had in a very long time. I wanted to be able to make two "Venti" sized cups in the morning and this is perfect. Two great big cups get me going. It is better thought out in every way too. the lid has a marker with an arrow showing where you rotate it to "open" and you pour out hot HOT coffee, and then you rotate the arrow around again to close it up so heat does not escape. THis is great and helps keep the coffee really HOT like i like it to be. the plunger goes down easily and SMOOTHLY and doesn't spray coffee all over your stove and maybe you. It's just better thought-out, engineered, sized, and it POURS cleanly....it is a great product and well worth every cent. Many said the black finish comes off badly right away. I haven't had mine long enough to have a comment on that. I don't know why they painted it black as stainless steel looks fine to me and most prefer the look of pure stainless anyway....But I care about ease-of-use, flavor, etc and so didn't care that it got so many negative comments on the black color. No review complained about the great features that I also look for so I took the chance and I'm so glad I did because I LOVE THIS COFFEE-MAKER!!! Also, I've also just put a large fry-pan of water on simmer and place the French-Press on that and it really keeps the coffe piping HOT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! it's value for the quality coffee you'll get out of it.

Good coffee maker!
Well made, decent price, just the right size for four large cups. This makes good coffee. Easy to clean, and it lasts. I have one that is seven years old, still going strong. I bought one for the farm. I had a pour over there, but that coffee is too weak for me now. I have a grinder for whole beans. You can buy ground coffee, but fine grounds will leak past the filter. Grinding beans extra coarse solves that problem, if you think it is a problem (I don't taste any difference).

One Tough Motha
I just tested this bad boy out. Handle is still on, will update when/if it comes off. It is sturdy, easy to clean and just made me a week's worth of coffee shots. The quality of the filters is excellent compared to what you will get from letterletter max or valphart. It also comes with an extra filter for whenever the first one finally gives out. Great buy (when on sale).

Good quality and value
This is the second one I've purchased of this brand and size. It's a good, well made, solid French press that works well and holds up over time. I love the 50 oz size which works well for two adult guzzlers that like more than one cup in the morning. The smaller size works for two also but we found that some days, we were having to wash and make a second pot. With the bigger size, the half-full press sits on the counter and we warm up cups later in the microwave. For the record, it never gets bitter no matter how long it sits. The reason for buying another is that I chose to put the black one in the dishwasher and the coating peeled. That's on me, not the press but since I intend to continue putting it in the dishwasher, I decided to go with stainless.

Better brewing in style
I'm happy with this product. Aesthetically it looks and feels great. Looks great with my other black coffee gear, and looks quite similar to my Stagg kettle. Keeps the coffee pretty hot for a while, much longer than with a glass french press, even with a knitted sleeve. Tho, I wish the lid had a tighter seal, so less heat would escape. Easy to clean; I rinse every time, and wash every 2nd. Tip: to rinse the plunger, hold under running water and spin the handle; all the remaining coffee bits spin out from centrifugal force.

Tired of glass? Buy this!
Due to the versatility of the french press design, I bring mine with me pretty much everywhere. I use it at home almost daily, I use it on road trips, and I take it camping. I originally had a cheap french press from IKEA. While I loved using it, the glass carafe just wasn't very durable and I broke two over the course of a year. There's nothing worse than having shattered glass and boiling hot liquid everywhere - before you even have your first cup of coffee! In my search for a product that was just as versatile but much more durable than the glass ones I was used to, I came across this french press. Yes, it costs a bit more, but it's a quality product and feels very well built. I have no doubts that this will last me much longer than the old french press that I loved so much. As a bonus, the lid and strainer from my old IKEA presses are actually the same diameter as this stainless carafe. I held onto them, although I doubt I'll need them any time soon. I've had very good luck with this product over the last month or so that I've been using it. Every cup of coffee is just as great as the last. It's easy to clean and easy to use. Others have complained about the black paint peeling off, but I haven't had any issues. This may simply be due to the fact that I hand wash my dishes or maybe that I just haven't had it long enough for the paint to break down? In any case, I'm not worried about it. Even if that happens the product will remain fully functional. My only complaint is that there are no markings on the inside for how much coffee to put in. I may scribe a line inside the carafe so that I don't have to bring a measuring cup with me when I go camping. This is more of just a personal preference though and doesn't impact the functionality of the product, so I don't feel that it's worth docking a star for. If you're thinking about getting this because you keep breaking the glass ones, this is the solution. My only regret is that I didn't buy this sooner. It really is a great product.
