Works great, cheap
This works just as well as the incredibly expensive one I had previously that failed. I have had far fewer issues with this one. I assume buying one of these as a replacement if it fails won't be too expensive. I have had it for a few months with no issues. My old style one from the early 2000s was about $80 and lasted 20 years, so there you go.

Works well with a PlayStation 2 on an old VGA PC monitor
I used this to hook up my PlayStation 2 to an old Dell PC monitor with a VGA port. The monitor is a 16:9 ratio, and so the image from the PS2 is naturally stretched a bit when it fills in the screen. Luckily however, my particular monitor allows the aspect ratio to be changed to 4:3 so the picture is perfect. Something to keep in mind if you have a similar use case.

Audio output port is a bit close to the VGA output port, but worked fine.
Easy to use, just plugged it in and it worked.

Great composite to (S)VGA converter
Great composite to (S)VGA converter. It does exactly what I needed. I wanted to use an old Sony PSone game system at my computer desk -- with the PSone connected to the (S)VGA input on my modern 1080p monitor. This handled the conversion perfectly. Just to be clear, the package contains the converter and a short power cord, but does not contain a transformer. The converter will run off of any USB-style power source -- an old cell phone power supply you don't need anymore, a computer's USB port, etc. I would buy this again.

Works, but with caveats
The device works as intended. Plain and simple. However, a major caveat is that, for the price, one would hope for at least a modicum of more information from the manufacturer and seller. The item came with almost no written documentation. I ended up having to spend a few hours troubleshooting it, with little assistance from the seller apart from a comment to "send a picture to aid in troubleshooting." This isn't my first time using technology, so that was a little frustrating.Ultimately, I had to scrounge an extra cable that the device was not shipped with, and couple the unit with another electronic device to make the video end of things work - I am a classroom teacher, and ended up routing it through my document camera. Sadly, it was not as "plug and play" as I had hoped (or feel it was advertised as.Buyer beware of the above. Buy if you don't mind a little extra work. Avoid if you aren't the least bit techie OR don't have additional hardware availble to utilize.

No warranty, will break and add to excessive pollution.
When I first bought this converter, it worked as it was supposed to. But 8 months later, it just stopped working. I think it fried itself somehow. I could get sound, but my screen showed a solid aqua background with lots of thin green, vertical lines. After several hard resets, I was able to get somewhat of a picture back, but everything was horribly tinted green and the outlines of things were so fuzzy, that I couldn't read most text that was on the screen.I contacted the company to see about a warranty (as it says to do on their product page), but they refused to give me a clear answer if they would fulfill a claim. After several emails back and forth, they said they would send me a refund of 80% -though I really just wanted a replacement working product, I accepted. When the refund didn't materialize, I inquired what was going on -only to get a response that they wanted me to purchase another converter, and they would then give me a discount. This is just another company that pumps out loads of cheap products across the world because they figure it's too much hassle for jilted customers to track down a refund, or a replacement. Or it would cost the customer more money than the initial product did. So burned customers would just give up and be stuck with trash, while the company kept the money. Now I'm stuck with another piece of plastic e-waste that I have to pay more money to properly recycle / dispose of. Companies like this should be fined for the amount of trash they put out in the world. And I mean that literally, because my purchase will now become part of the waste stream. One star for the cheap product that is having to get prematurely disposed of, for the poor communication from the company, and for the unclear language they have -and are allowed to have- on their product page regarding warranties.Invest your money in something you can actually keep around and in use.

Does what it is supposed to
Works well. I am using it to convert an RCA video connector device (an old JVC document projector) to a VGA projector. It was plug and play, didn't have to do anything other than connect the cables.

Works as described
I purchased this for the purpose of using an old computer monitor as a display for my security camera. It has been about a week and the item is working out well for me. The picture is acceptable. If it lasts, I will be purchasing another.
