Worked surprisingly well. I only used the u-shaped wire cutter to cut one inch thick styrofoam with printed sign cutouts mounted to it. The cutter was easy to use and precise. It took a few tries to get the hang of, but I was very pleased. Stores in a small space and heats up quickly.

This is the 2nd foam cutter. The 1st one was cheep and all kinds of problems. I'm working on a detailed project. I had so much fun with this cutter. Temperature adjustments worked great. The higher the voltage the slicker the cut. Although the faster it cut the less control you will have. I have a background in art. Just never worked with Styrofoam. Project was a blast! .

I made 2 decently sized projects with this before it stopped working due to a cord issue (it would heat up, but if I moved it, it would lose power). 1.) Made my son a portable terrain for an RC monster truck. 2.) Made approximately 12 large stalactites and Stalagmites for a stage production of The Hobbit. Really worked great until the very last stalactite. I liked that it came with replacement wire, which I did need at one point when the one it came strung with broke. Overall, a great value for a great machine. Just wish it lasted longer.

This foam cutting set is absolutely excellent. I was really impressed by how quickly it heats up—within seconds, it’s ready to use. If you work with foam or do any kind of crafting, this is exactly what you need.

If I could give it less than one star I would. I bought this thinking that I could use it to make my own reptile huts. You see I rescue reptiles that people do not want any longer. I don't resell the reptiles I keep them and give them a good home. So I was thinking I can buy these styrofoam blocks 18x24 in and make my own homes for the snakes and other reptiles. I guess wrong. I used it once it made a great home for one snake 🐍. I started to make the second one and it does not cut whatsoever. I turned it up even higher it started cutting but the steel rod actually started bending because it was so hot. Don't wish the money it's junk. It's probably made in China. I wrote to the manufacture they never answered my email. I have had it too long to send it back to Amazon. Like I said don't waste your money trash

Life changing for crafters. The possibilities of repurposing styrofoam are endless. Melts through styrofoam like butter. As you can see it smokes so definitely use it outside.

This item does okay job but it doesn't quite get hot enough to really do a good job cutting through the foam so if you're looking for something more efficient I would steer away from this item and look for something with higher temperature settings.

Ordentlich gemachter Artikel. Eins sollte man allerdings beachten. Die einzelnen Werkzeuge nur mit der angegebenen Spannung (oder weniger) betreiben. Da die Werkzeuge mit der korrekten Spannung sehr schnell auf Temperatur sind, ist bei höherer Spannung vermutlich schnell was kaputt.
