The main 2 compartments can each easily fit an item 4 inches wide and 5 inches tall. One of the main compartments has a zipper closure. The other is open. There is a shallow pocket between the 2 for change or other small items. The outer flap closes with velcro. It could probably be stuffed 2 inches deep. The material looks very study and not unattractive. It has a strong ajustable strap for cross body or necknwear. Put a nice brooch on it, and it would make an acceptable evening bag. I may do that on my trip to England:) **Q: Does it hold US $ without folding?** A: as I remember, I folded my money. Its slightly bigger than my passport. **Q: Can this fit multiple passports (3 or 4)? Thanks** A: Yes, it can take four passports... but after that not much else. My phone barely fits in the new one. Also, the compartment for keys is almost useless. (This item has 3 compartments: Phone, keys, and a zipper compartment for credit cards etc.) The older version's key compartment could accommodate a key fob & small key chain.
