All Natural Bar Soap for Men with Zero Grit, Bay Rum

This is my second Dr. Squatch purchase. These products are wonderful, the first bar I tried was the Citrus and Cedar which also is amazing. This is cold process soap which means there's some extra things you need to consider if you're going to use it. I saw a lot of reviews that said the bar doesn't last and even saw a video of someone spraying it with water. Scent: Spearmint Basil Not going to lie when you open the package it smells just like DIll Pickles and it's pretty strong. Once you shower with it though the smell becomes sweeter and is very pleasent. These soaps don't use perfume scents so, no, they don't cling to you all day or fill a room with a very chemical and artificial smell. They get you clean so you don't need to mask what it didn't remove. The scent washes off of you in the shower and leaves you with only a very faint scent that doesn't linger long. Moisturizing: I have very oily skin typically and products made for oily skin go way beyond oil reduction and leave your skin a dry husk. Dr. Squatch gets my skin clean and free of oily residue without leaving it dry and itchy. When you step out of the shower and dry off your skin feels soft and clean, you can feel air against your skin and it after a day or two of use, your skin looks a lot healthier. If you've ever used other moisturizing soaps you probably know they can leave an oily feeling film on your skin which I can't stand, other soaps for oily skin make your skin feel like it's pulling and covered in astringents as it dries and will commonly result in dry scaly skin. Dr. Squatch does neither. It leaves you feeling clean and soft and makes it feel like your skin can actually breathe. Longevity: As I said earlier this is a cold process soap which means it doesn't like to sit in the water flow or be wet all the time. The best way I've found to use it so far is to keep it out of the shower or higher up in the shower away from splashing water. The best way to apply it is to get your skin wet, use the bar to lather and then use a wash cloth or shower sponge, etc to scrub and exfoliate. If you leave this soap under running, hot water, it WILL melt rapidly. Other Uses: Since I'm keeping the soap near my shaving supplies to keep it out of the shower, I also tried using it for shaving and it turned out great. It actually outperforms anything I've used previously, delivers a smooth shave experience, and leaves my face feeling clean.

Got it as a small gift for my husband, he'd been asking for a bar for a while and wanted me to surprise him with a new scent. The Bay Rum scent was a pleasant surprise! It lasts quite a while as well. Great value and love the soap quality. Leaves his skin feeling very moisturized!

When the package arrived, I opened the box and could smell the cinnamon and cloves. I immediately logged in to Amazon so that I could return it. I didn't want to smell like an older woman. I then decided to read some reviews and not be so hasty. After some consideration, I opened the plastic and smelled the soap up close. Wow! The pine and zesty orange came through and brought the scent up to manly status. This soap smells incredible! Bay Rum is quite an appropriate name. Sometimes I smell the soap just for the hell of it. It smells so good. Also, this soap produces a great lather and leaves your skin feeling soft and not lacking in moisture. The downside is the price. Almost $10 on Amazon is too much for me. I'd have to be single and making $175k to justify buying it as it will probably last you two weeks at best. You could buy a cheaper soap of similar ingredients minus the scent because after you rinse off, the smell is barely noticeable on your skin. I'll probably buy a bar once a year or so as a treat for myself. Otherwise, the price is out of my league. The bottom line is, Bay Rum is a great, high-quality soap that smells incredible, but is too expensive for the average Joe.

Okay, let's have a little talk of this soap and then a list of pros and cons. First off, this soap IS better than most generic soap you can find at your local stores. It's clean, refreshing, and it smells good (More on this further on.). After using two whole bars of this soap and of different scents however, I can see it's flaws. So let me just take you to my list. PROS: Made in the USA with organic natural ingredients mostly derived from plants. Actually cleans, and depending on the grit, removes dead skin and exfoliates. It's healthy for your skin and has no artificial chemicals that may do harm to your skin. It doesn't dry your skin out like other soaps may and it removes nasty greases off you skin you may gain during a regular day at work. CONS: If you have greasy hair, it doesn't do anything to remove that, rather leaving it greasy and moist. The scents don't really smell, unless you directly smell the bar of soap. Once you wash it off and dry your body, there will basically be no smell of the soap on you (I tried two different scents by the way, I smelled like nothing after drying myself.). This bar of soap doesn't last long at all. Compared to other soap brands, this soap only lasts a few showers before it's all gone, and with the price on it for a single bar, you can see where that becomes a monetary issue (You can buy two or three whole packs of longer-lasting soap for the same price at a local store for example). Lastly, this isn't an end-of-the-world issue, but the edges of the soap bar when its fresh out of the carton are pretty rough and make for an unpleasant shower experience (Take shoving the bar under your arms with those pointy edges for example). I hope this helps you decide if you want this soap or not. In conclusion, I would rather stick to this soap now that I have tried it because yes, it's much better feeling and it's actually healthy compared to other soaps out there. It actually helps you feel a little more masculine, but it's on the expensive side and not very long lasting. And although it's a great soap bar, I will be using something else to wash my hair, and something to deodorize my body. Thank you for reading and happy holidays!

I was skeptical about Dr. Squatch mens all natural bar soap, but not anymore. This soap is truly awesome. First, all of the scents are masculine and smell fantastic. However, the Bay Rum is my favorite and is ridiculously good (their bay rum deodorant is even better smelling than the soap!). Second, the soap (or deodorant) doesn’t irritate my highly sensitive skin whatsoever, which is proof it is truly all natural. Third, it lathers really well and gets me squeaky clean…literally. Because it is so squeaky clean I can’t vouch for how moisturizing it is, but I also use body lotion right out of the shower so it doesn’t even matter. Fourth, I shower once every single day and a bar lasts about 3-4wks, but you HAVE to have a bar soap holder (preferably a wooden one) and keep it out of the spray of the shower when not in use to get the longevity. Otherwise, your soap is only going to last a couple of weeks tops. In conclusion, I’m now a believer in Dr. Squatch and will be using it from here on out. I like Squatch so much I now have bars in pine tar, gold moss, fresh falls, bourbon and cedar citrus scents…all…100%…killer! One last quick recommendation/piece of advice, pay the extra couple of bucks and order on Amazon using Prime vs. direct on DrSquatch.com. If you order direct from their site the shipping is INSANELY long. I’ve ordered directly from their website twice and each time it took 3+ weeks to receive my orders…and the products were “in stock.” I don’t wish this frustration on anybody so heed my warning 👍🏼

This soap is awsome in a few ways and just decent in others. To get started it makes your skin feel fresh and moisturized! I can say honestly that I prefer this over all the store bought chemical added soaps. I'd say the negatives would be that the scent dosent last on my skin at all. You smell it in the shower and the bar gives off a pleasant scent but once you wash it off the scent is gone within an hour or so. The other negative would be that the bar although big in the package dosent last very long. I received it on the 17th of December and ive used it three times now and it's already at half the size it was when I started using it. I see this lasting maybe a week with a single shower each day. For the price I'd expect it to last at least two weeks but I feel like the feeling of clean and moisture you get from it is hard to beat. it turns into a nice buttery scrub on your skin and leaves it feeling just right. Not to soft and not to hard. I bought the bay rum version and it is a good soap but if it had lasted longer or I was given two bars for the price I'd give it 5 stars. As stands I'll give it 3 stars for the awsome moisturizing properties, 2 for the longetivity and 2 for the scent since it dosent last on skin. Overall I'd rate it 3 and 1/2

The last few months of my relationship have been a little rough, but thanks to Dr. Squatch I was able to spice things up and get everything back on track. When you have been together for a few years, things start to get a little bland and I had read on the internet in multiple places that the fault was on my spouse. Ignoring all that information I decided I needed to make small changes to try to make her more interested in me. I started by changing from Boxer Briefs to Tighty Whities, that did not go well. I changed the part in my hair, only a small comment. Changing my toothpaste worked to get me a few extra kisses, but that was not the holy grail I was looking for. As a man I am not supposed to admit that I crave the occasional cuddle and that was what I had been missing for the past few months. I realized that I had to do something drastic and so I searched the internet for the best product money could buy, a 1500 dollar bottle of perfume. Surely a scent that expensive has to be effective. I was about to hit the buy button when in the corner of my browser something caught my eye. An item endorsed by a Doctor of Cryptozoological proportions. I knew right then and there that if a Sasquatch could get his P.h.D then this had to be the soap for me. And boy was it ever. Now with the lovely scent of Bay Rum emanating from my body my wife never seems to want to stop the cuddles. We both think it is the best smelling soap I have ever bought and it makes my rough skin feel smooth. Thank you Dr. Squatch for making this soap and saving my marriage. I fully recommend this product to any man, women, person or cryptozoological creature that feels the need to add a little spice to their life. TLDR - I wanted more cuddles, Dr. Squatch provided the answer better than any other body wash I have used before.

5 stars for clean feel, quality ingredients and decent out of box aroma. The scent does not last. Once done with the shower the scent is done too so great option for a clean ingredient product but if you want to smell like you have the scent stuck with ya may be too clean of a product.

Great soap my husband uses it all the time he has very dry skin and it helps a lot yes it’s expensive but worth it

Not a bad deal to buy on Amazon. Works out to be about a buck more per bar compared to buying directly from Squatch. But definitely faster delivery. Kind of levels it out in my opinion. Soft soap and lathers fast and well doest leave the skin feeling dry and a very fresh scent. Recommended.
