Not bad but not great for me
This is my first experience with a natural shampoo bar and I feel so-so about it. It doesn't dry my hair. It doesn't clean so well after an oil treatment though - I need at least two rinse and repeats before my hair feels clean. After a normal wash, it leaves my hair feeling a little waxy when wet. It's hard to comb through after a shower, even when using a conditioner and/or leave-in after shampooing. I might try a different blend that works better for my hair type (dry and fine).

Wrapped in plastic
This is my first shampoo bar and I really like it. I have very long and thick hair. I did still need to use conditioner. I wish they sold a bar conditioner.I gave it a 4 because the reason I am switching to a bar shampoo is the impact it has on the environment. I was disappointed when it came wrapped in plastic.

I think I need to give it more time
I’m a Devacurl girl. I am looking for a shampoo bar to be more earth-friendly and reduce my plastic consumption. This was one of few bars I could find without sulfates. However, I don’t feel like it’s cleaning my hair that well. It’s possible I need to let my hair get used to it, so I’m not giving up on it yet!!

4A natural
This shampoo bar is great for my 4A natural hair. It make luscious suds when the bar is rubbed directly on your hair or scalp, not in your hands, which can make application a little cumbersome. The smell is a mild herb sent that goes away after rinsing. I can almost detangle my hair with just this shampoo bar. It leaves my hair clean, but not striped, with shiny curls.

Maybe it's not meant for naturally curly to wavy hair ...
Maybe it's not meant for naturally curly to wavy hair because that's what I have, and in my case this shampoo was very drying, and even seem to straighten my hair some. Hard to get a lather which I normally don't mind, but just seems too drying. About a half a bar left will use it on my kids...

Exceeded Expectations
I've been natural for over a year and I have 4a hair. I've heard a lot of rave about shampoo bars and this one was paricularly popular so I purchased it. I highly recommend it. It's very moisturzing and makes hair so manageable and easy to detangle. It has a nice lather so you don't have to use too much and it leaves my hair very clean, soft, and my curls poppin. Some cons I would say is that it's very annoying when it slips out of your hands and all over the tub and it burns a lot when you get it in your eyes, but those are pretty avoidable issues I still think you should know that though. I've been using it for over a month now and I can see that I have plenty of uses left (maybe 4 left?). I don't see this lasting longer than a typical liquid shampoo, though. Great ingredients and price.

Waxy residue... no thanks
Granted, I do not have the type of hair that this line of products was meant for, but I do have dry hair so I was hoping that the shea butter in here would help with that. After rinsing it out in the shower my hair felt a little waxy and dry like soap sometimes feels on the skin so I used conditioner. Then after towel drying I noticed a white waxy residue on the part of my hair I had most lathered up with the bar. I couldn't get it out of my hair in the sink for the life of me. I also couldn't get my brush through it and had to dump a bunch of leave in conditioner to comb through. Now that my hair is dry one section looks slicked down and feels waxy to the touch. It's like I would need to use another shampoo to wash this one out... Bummed about this product.

Cleanses AND Detangles!!!
This is great!!! I’m a 4b natural with normal to higher porosity hair. Just get the hair wet, and RUB BAR ON SCALP... you won’t get studs if you try to rub on your hands just saying...(iF you feel weird about putting it directly on your dirty scalp, No worries germs don’t like soap just rinse off your bar when done, store for next use)once I figured this out my scalp felt great and my curls were poppin! I agree with another review that it practically detangled my hair in the shower, also another tip for 4abc naturals, I only wash and style my hair with vinyl gloves on to prevent nail snagging!

Nice smelling
Loved this soap bar and it smelled great as well. Got the hair nicely lathered and clean.

Did not work as expected.
Was purchased to use as shampoo and hardly lathers. I would not purchase this product again.
