How is it with recording vocals?

I'd never use one for vocals in a studio environment. Use a large diaphragm condenser (LDC - requires 48v phantom power) for vocals. Someone said the 57 and 58 are the same, this is NOT true. The capsules are different with the 58 being a GREAT choice for LIVE vocals. The 57 is an earlier design and was more of a jack of all trades mic. Studio recording (no matter where it is isolation booth or bedroom) is about capturing the cleanest signal possible, that really requires a LDC mic where vocals are concerned. One exception is metal vocals, in that case the SM7B LDD (Large Diaphragm Dynamic - no phantom power) is the better choice. Dynamic mics can take higher SPL than condensers.

What is the difference in this SM57-LC and the SM57? I can't seem to find what the LC is about.

The LC stands for "Less Cable." As in it doesn't come with a cable. Shure used to sell a model that did come with a cable. As Raffael's link pointed out, they no longer sell the one with the cable. The microphones themselves, however, were exactly the same. So there's NO difference between an SM57-LC and SM57.

can it be attached to a video camera with a cable?

The Shure 57 has a standard balanced audio XLR connector. You will need an adaptor or cable that converts XLR to the type of connector on your video camera. Shouldn't be a problem to find one. Other than that, its suitability will depend on your use. If you are using it "off camera" and reasonably close to your subject, it should be great. If you are mounting it on the camera somehow, be aware that it is not a highly directional microphone and you'll be recording most sounds in front of the camera. Good Luck.

Probably, if it has an XLR input or you can use a connector that can adapt it to your PA. Keep in mind that this is not a phantom powered mic.
