What makes this a "marine" stereo? No mention of "water resistant" or anything like that in the description.

My husband ordered this for our boat and frankly, the sound is marginal. If you have a smart phone and access to tunes on it, then buy a JBL clip. It is a waterproof speaker that has great battery life and a good sound. We use it in place of this stereo because the sound quality was so poor. The stereo was put in with new speakers so it's the over all sound system. It's the best $65 you can spend. Goes on bike rides, showers, boat rides etc.
