Designed for indoor use on wood, canvas, and paper, it preserves artwork with a permanent, non-yellowing shine and is fully compatible with Liquitex acrylic paints and mediums. Certified safe for educational use, it offers professional-grade protection and vibrancy for artists and creators. ## Description In addition to the widest array of Professional and Student colors, Liquitex offers the broadest possible range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. We understand that mediums are often a difficult concept to grasp until you actually dive into them, so we’ve tried to simplify usage by classifying products in three distinct categories: Prep, Paint, and Finish. Surface preparations set the foundation for stable and permanent color applications by sealing and adding tooth to almost any painting surface. We offer five different types of prep products available to accommodate all types of work. Within the painting category, there are several different types of products you would use besides the color itself. They are Fluid Mediums, Gel Mediums, Additives, and Texture Gels. Each of these products are explained further within this brochure. These painting mediums allow an artist to adjust the working and optical properties of the paint film to accomplish an astonishing variety of techniques and applications. Varnishes are applied over a completed piece of work to change or unify the surface sheen and protect the painted surface from the environment and ultraviolet light. Whether you are PREPing the surface, PAINTing the masterpiece, or adding the crucial FINISHing touch, Liquitex offers the proper medium to achieve any desired result. Explore your possibilities even further by mixing Liquitex acrylic color with any of our mediums. ## Features - Archival; Permanent; Non-Removable; Gloss finish - Lightweight, non-toxic; Dries to a non-tacky, hard, flexible surface; Non-yellowing and water-resistant when dry - Includes 8-oz / 237ml bottle of medium - Intermixable with Liquitex Professional Acrylic Paint Colors and Mediums. - Conforms to ASTM D4236; Safe for educational use ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B001US2NY2 | | Best Sellers Rank | #10 in Varnishes | | Date First Available | 6 August 2012 | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Model Number | 6208 | | Manufacturer | ColArt Americas | | Product Dimensions | 5.66 x 5.66 x 13.92 cm; 267.62 g | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Liquitex - **Colour:** clear - **Finish type:** Gloss - **Item volume:** 8 Fluid Ounces - **Size:** 8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) ## Images ![Liquitex Professional Gloss Varnish, Clear ,8oz ,6208 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/717LnJ277IL.jpg) ![Liquitex Professional Gloss Varnish, Clear ,8oz ,6208 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91fDunS+XkL.jpg) ![Liquitex Professional Gloss Varnish, Clear ,8oz ,6208 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/819AQMGrA9L.jpg) ![Liquitex Professional Gloss Varnish, Clear ,8oz ,6208 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71au3NepaKL.jpg) ![Liquitex Professional Gloss Varnish, Clear ,8oz ,6208 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ABqPPvmTL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What's the difference between matte medium and matte varnish?** A: A medium is something you add to or use with paint to create specific effects. A varnish is a protective coat on something. **Q: Does it works on ceramic/plastic/glass mugs?I would be thankful if you reply, thx for reading** A: I'm sorry I can't answer that question because I used it for a wood item. But I think that if it doesn't say it's for ceramic/plastic/glass it's not going to work. Usually if it did work on those things it would say so. **Q: Is it water based?** A: Yes. "Liquitex Archival Permanent Varnish Finishing Medium is a low-odor, permanent and durable medium with water-based technology, translucent when wet, clear when dry..." **Q: Is this uv protected. Self leveling?** A: Yes ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ يجب حفظه عن الاطفال *by on Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates 2 January 2024* روووعه ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 June 2022* Very good quality.
