If you already have a socket 1151 board with a 300 series chipset then you might as well save money and get the 9900k. **Q: So this 9900k with new packaging is still a 9900k correct? the 9900kf is in the same box but their labels don't differentiate from what i've seen.** A: Yes, a 9900K is a 9900K. The cool packaging is gone because the 9900K is no longer the most awesomeness chip and has been replaced with an even more awesome chip.
