Quick chopper!!
I am so happy with this product! I have always been an OXO fan, and this does not disappoint! I specifically wanted one that only diced, and this fit the bill perfectly. I like the "dump" feature in the back of the chopper, when I am chopping a lot of veggies, I don't have to fiddle with it, pull it apart and put it back together again. One piece of advice if you purchase this. I use a toothbrush to clean the blades if I'm not putting it in the dishwasher. I find it safer. But... very dishwasher friendly!!!

Handy
I think this item is well-designed and functional. I use it principally to chop apples to add to my cereal or oatmeal at breakfast and for that it's perfect. It's quick to use and easy to clean. Onions was a bit more problematic as some sections failed to chop and gummed up the blades. The biggest challenge was sweet potatoes. That was a fail. I tried too hard and bent some blades but was able to bend them back with pliers. I was also initially puzzled by the red removable grid as it would easily fall off. If you aren't careful, you'll chop it up. Then I saw that there is a small lip at the top of the base where the removable piece attaches. You need to press down on the top of the red piece to position it behind the lip so it will stay in place.

Not easy to use
This item seemed like a great idea. The idea is great but the design leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, it takes almost super human strength to to press the lid down enough to cut through any vegetable be it onions, green pepper, or celery. I wouldn't dream of trying to cut a carrot unless I had Mr. Universe in my kitchen to do it for me. Secondly, the cutting blade device is not removeable so it is just about impossible to clean. It comes with a thin flexible purple thingy that the instructions say to use while chopping to make it easier to clean the blades but it immediately falls off when you put it in place. Thirdly, when you use your super human strength to to press the top down to cut through the vegetables it makes the loudest bang I've ever heard any kitchen appliance make. My family came running into the kitchen thinking that I had fallen the first time I used this chopper!. The two things that are on the plus side is the fact that the bottom part is removable for cleaning and the non-slip feature on the bottom works great. No, I would not buy this again nor would I recommend it.

Safter than a knife for me
I found this a good addition to my kitchen. I purchased it a couple years ago so only used it today for the first time. I have some physical limits in my hand so I found this device safer & easier for chopping onion. I’m going to try it on celery next. The one struggle for me is taking it apart to clean it.

IMO a little big for onion chunks. But... There are Hacks!! EDIT!
Works Well! VERY SHARP!! For me the onion cubes were a bit large but NOT a disqualifier. I found the perfect use is for diced potatoes!! Slice your potato as thick as the squares of the cutter and they some out perfect!! Works well with apple slices too!! Pro-Tip: Slice an onion/potato/green pepper as thick as the squares place your hand over the open end when done chopping and shake vigorously! Then dump into skillet to fry! I have to look and see if OXO has different size cutters so I don't need to buy a whole new setup... My only issue w/ this chopper is a bit of difficulty separating the parts for cleaning. Especially with wet hands. It's hard to pull them apart. Pressing that little tab ain't so easy. The grid cleaner insert is a nice touch though. This is a real value for the money Hands Down. -- EDIT: Mine broke. A blade separated. Put in for a return and had another one literally the next day. I think I just had a tough onion. Poop happens. One last issue. The cover won't stay upright/open in use. No big issue... Just wanted to mention it. I still give it 5 *'s...

Easy to clean and use
Easy to use and easy to clean as it can be disassembled and placed in the dishwasher. The device chops well. I have used it for carrots, celery, tomato and onions so far. The only compliant I have is that to get everything out of the bottom, you really need to disassemble the unit. This makes it a bit inconvenient to use for multiple items for a single meal. (Not a major problem, just one that I wish wasn't a problem.)

I've previously owned the JML and off-brand versions of this type of chopper. While the JML one was good, I am a big fan of OXO products owing to my arthritis. It really shows that people like me have been kept in mind in the design of their products. (As a sidenote, the offbrand cheapy one I got broke very quickly!) While I can see that some may prefer the multiple brade choice of JML, I would recommend the OXO one over it, for several reasons. Firstly, while there only being one blade size, this does mean less removable parts. This, in my opinion, reduces the chance for breakage or loss. Additionally, this chopper has a grippy pad on the top, which allows for easier operation. I also like the way in which the back of the tub part has an opening so the chopped produce can be poured straight into the pan or bowl you're working with. The rubber insert into the inside of the "lid" is also helpful in cleaning. It's not perfect, but I am very happy with it. I'd say the possible flaws would be that singular chopping size (for some that could be a deal breaker), and the fact that some produce doesn't get quite as clean a cut as others. That being said, I personally love it and find it really helps in food prep.

It is very well made but it cuts pieces into rather large chunks. I thought it would be much finer...

Excellent chopper with features you didn't know you needed. We use the chopper for preparing dog training treats out of Prime 100 rolls. We've tried a few choppers, before finally finding the perfect one. The opening for easy pouring is convenient, especially if chopping in bulk. The included pull-out plastic grid makes it unbelievably easy to clean. I highly recommend this product.
