Yes, it makes some little clicky thumpy sounds sometimes, maybe a little bit like the car in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. 😜It did it as soon as I moved the arm far enough to turn the motor on. I didn't think I was going to keep it. But the sound is not coming through the speakers, when a record is playing I don't hear it over the music. Turning it up only turns the music up, it doesn't make the other sound louder too. My friend said it was cool; it kinda reminded her of the little noises you hear on records sometimes. It's too cool to return. I bought two more colored albums just because it's so cool. It's a different feel. It doesn't even have a remote. And it uses both a manual lift bar and a manual arm; it doesn't even have automatic return. But you know what, it doesn't matter. It sounds pretty good and like I said, It's Very Cool❣️ It is the same turntable used in several Kaleo visualizer music videos. The album featured in the product images is Bob Marley - Legend!

I do not recall how I got to see this item or what I was looking for at the time (purchased in 2023) but it was an eye catcher for me right from the start. I am ole Skool so I have a record collection. I do have a great system otherwise but I purchased this with little hesitation. This review comes 2 years later as I was looking for the cost then and now, and its $20 cheaper as of the date of this entry. Its great, I accept its limitations as well as its good features. The only issue I have had is from wobbling of the needle. I thought the problem was the unit but turns out my ceiling fan being on created an air flow that caused the needle have tracking issues. This item is a great conversation piece. Everyone loves it and have comments. What I would like to see as additions are 1. A clear case that can fit over it or that it is enclosed in. 2. I really want that multi-colored disc used in the advertisement. Sounds good enough, attention getter, does the job. This was a good buy.

Terrible player, sound quality poor, makes all my vinyl sound defective. Looks nice but looks better in the trash. Not worth the wait, time, money or effort it took to plug in. Save your money and buy your player from a music store so you can hear what you're getting. Gimmick

The sound quality is great. Easy to set up blue tooth too! Love the vertical design as it’s more unique and showcases my more fun colored albums

Purchased this record player for my husbands birthday gift & he really loved it!! Its really unique how the record sits vertically. Also has a clock, radio & you can connect via bluetooth. The size is also great nothing too big or bulky.

The sound is okay from the unit but ultimately unremarkable. I wanted to hook these up to my tower speakers but the sound is full of noise and static. Tried different wires and the same result. Hooked speakers up to phone via, separate, Bluetooth source and they sound amazing. Basically if you don't want to wire these into a home stereo system this standalone unit works ok...

...where she stops....well, the third time was the charm for me. I ordered this turntable three times. Both of the first two had terrible wobble in the turntables' movement, distorting the sound, and a ticking noise from the motor loud enough to drown out the music at lower volumes. This may have been caused by poor quality control or poor packaging or a combination of both. All three were definitely inadequately packaged for a turntable shipped through the mail. A couple of pieces of Styrofoam aren't going to cut it. Now that I have a functioning turntable, I quite like it. It sounds good for what it is, meaning it isn't an expensive piece of equipment for audiophiles, and it gets plenty loud for its size. I've already gotten complaints from the kids on the other side of the house about Miles Davis and his horn. One star off for the effort on my end, including one refund still processing and having to lay out the purchase price twice, but the machine itself, if you get a functional one, is quite nice for what you're paying.

Okay, delivery was weird because the "delivered" status was earlier than 2 days as stated on the website and courier app... it got me worries but i'm glad it did arrive SAFELY. I didn't think it was BIG. I like the wooden body.. sound quality is nice. Don't expect the speakers to be so loud for its size and price. Buttons are pretty simple to figure out, the manual is also easy to understand. It's my first time playing it out of the box so i have no complaints, however, i will be observing it if there are other problems that may occur from using the player. I might edit in the future if i have any problems with it. Update: it has been almost a month after purchasing it and I've had no problems with the unit! Worth the purchase! Button functions are very easy to understand and sound quality from the vinyl is great!

Excellent little vertical player, not too loud but very clear and still a good sound The people who have went out and bought one since seeing mine is insane, we all love vinyl and the extra time it takes to listen to your music, this makes it worthwhile

A excellent piece of kit for the price

Great little record player. Sound quality is good and better than some other all in one systems we've had before. The only issue we've had has a simple fix. The player comes with an antislip mat to put between the player and the record but it is smaller than the overall record size and we found we were having issues with the first track on each side sometimes skipping around. We put a full 12inch sized record mat on instead and the skipping stopped straight away. Not a single problem since. My husband loves being able to see all the pictures discs and coloured vinyls as he listens to his favourite music.
