What it doesn't tell you is that it also fits perfectly on the henry rifles chambered in 45–70 and 30-30. I searched high and low for this information, but did not find it. I simply bought these and took a risk and they fit perfectly on my Henry All-Weather 45-70. Now you know. They do a great job of allowing you to see your iron sites perfectly without any obstruction while still having a scope for a longer range shots. These rings screw directly into the receiver so you do not have to use the Weaver model 61 rail to mount a scope. Using a rail works fine, but it partially of obscures the iron sites which is why these see-through rings that mount directly to the receiver, and therefore slightly lower, are a better choice in my opinion. Review: Great scope mounts if you want to continue to also use your iron sights - This scope mount is unique because it allows you to continue to use your iron sights. I have attached pics. The only thing that sucks and has nothing to do with the product but the 336ss marlin is the screws you have to remove before attaching the scope mount is that they’re so soft the strip bad. Had to use a screw extractor to be able to mount this so heads up.
