Was looking for a part number on the back side with the word TOYOTA and is definitely not on the item. I have not installed it but probably will not last.

Fits 2001-2005 Lexus is300. No issues install easy.

Factory part, easy install. Durability is okay, this is my second one, first one lasted about 7 years before the clip that hold the rod broke off.

Mildly upset that that tiny plastic thing that breaks on EVERY is300 costs 30 dollars at the dealer? Tired of using a zip-tie to hold up your hood prop? I am in no way the type of person who attempts to repair my car EVER. But in this case I thought I should try and save a few bucks by replacing this part myself. The part looks identical to the one I removed from my car. As per other people's reviews, I used needle nose pliers to pull out the old one. I highly recommend putting a blanket or cover over your engine before starting. When removing the old part, it broke into several pieces and a blanket/cover prevents the pieces from falling into your engine. I highly recommend this product!

Fits perfectly in my Lexus IS300. The original clip had broken off years ago, and I was using a piece of solid coated electrical wire as a twist tie. I didn't know how to take off the original one so I just pried it off with a screwdriver and it shattered into a million pieces. Pulled off the residual chips with a pair of pliers, and this new one snapped right in with the two tabs on the backside .
