Not always the easiest to light but once lit will burn very hot. Hot enough to get wet or low quality wood to light. Small enough to stash anywhere. Keep one in every outdoor bag, car, house etc.

Best fire starter/fuel I have ever used. It burns clean and very hot, and DOES start using magnesium fire starters very easily. I have them in my fire starter kit in my camping and bug out bag, and wouldn't ever take them out, unless it is to use them.I have tested them with fire starters, and lighters. The lighter was on the fuel for less then a half-a-second, and the fuel ignited, I was extremely impressed. Then the real test, I tried the fire starters that spark. I used a Bear Grylls fire starter, and in three sparks, it ignited and burned for well over five minutes.I received my product in an envelope, with all 10 of them in there, and they came just as pictured, compressed and in a very good package. They all have individual packaging.I would recommend these for anyone. If you are on the border, order them and you will be leaving a similar review. They are small, and easy to use, even in an emergency situation. I will personally be ordering more of them just to have, and because I will be using these regularly for camping because I like them so much.

I first heard of Trioxane from a popular channel on YouTube that focuses on the mentality, tactics, and equipment of hiking, camping, and outdoor survival. Primitive fire-making is a craft, one that I have little time or interest in learning. When it comes to outdoor preparedness, I prefer the simplest and most reliable resources of which I'd need to rely. Particularly in the wet or cold weather I face during some seasons in the Northeast, where a lowered body temperature could inhibit motor function and reduce stamina. Trioxane is a tremendous tool, regardless of cost, because of its ease of use, dependability, size, and weight. It's the cost-effectiveness that makes it a no-brainer when building or adding onto your own preparedness kit. It catches alight with very little ignition required, so it pairs well with a flint and steel if a more advantageous source of fire, like a lighter, isn't available to you. I've used these tabs many times and they haven't failed to get a fire going for me, even in the rain, as long as my other materials are dry. They burn extremely hot and are usually even able to dehydrate and then ignite damp tinder or kindling.

Package and the smallBox that each set comes in look like they are brand new stock. Does not look like it’s from the mid 80’s, which this stock is from. The chemical works perfectly. Just amazed about how new everything looks. Whoever had these, stored them perfectly for years.

Already received the item and as was expected.Would be good to keep in vehicle trunk with some individual packets of coffee with your emergency supply if caught of guard in stormy weather or accident in a remote place until rescued.
