Seems to toast more evenly than my 20 year old toastmaster which finally died. Did a pretty nice job on an english muffin, however you need to be aware of the different settings and heat levels for best results on the variety of items you can toast in it. Bet it doesn't outlive the Toastmaster's lifespan, but still seems like a pretty reasonable price for a stainless clad, good performing toaster.

Had a toaster oven forever. It was ok, but took FOREVER to make toast. Wanted to see if this was quicker (it is). Did my research and bought this one. At first was tickled to death with this. It was SO much faster. Perfect. Makes good toast. Has settings for english muffins, bagels and waffles. The english muffins and bagel settings work great. Have not tried the waffle. So far so good. For the not so good. Most of these aren't horrible, but you should know about them. The Single slice setting doesn't appear to do anything. Both sides still come on. Not a big deal. The left side NEVER pops up. It clicks so you know it's done, but the toast doesn't come up. It's easy enough to raise the toast manually, but come on..... Removing a star.
