We live on a small farm. My husband has a workshop in the barn where he is always in to multiple projects. He is always looking for deals on quality tools. He found this and thought he would give it a try. He gave me his input so I could pass the information to you.He was first very impressed when he opened the product. It is a heavy duty item. Impressed with the weight of the item, I actually weighed it on my mailing scale and it was 13.6 ounces as mentioned in the product description. So that is product weight, not a boxed weight. It is a high quality shackle and one he said he would use frequently. He said it would have hundreds of uses here from pulling logs to lifting things. No worry about the threaded bolt rusting since it's stainless steel! I bought these shackles for my Jeep Wrangler. We do a lot of off-roading and these are great to have for hook on points when you need to get pulled out. Based on the picture on Amazon I envisioned that these would be a little bigger than they are, but the size is not a problem at all. I'm not sure why I thought they'd be bigger but just a heads up in case I'm not the only one. They are plenty big enough to get a tow hook on and they look great on the jeep. They installed in seconds and look to be thick and durable. I'm looking forward to the first time I can actually put a weighted load on them and see how they do. Though from the look of them, they will likely to fantastic. I really like the tapered look of them compared to other straight shackles. I'm super please with this purchase.I received one of these shackles at a discounted price for my honest review. I'm glad I bought the second one also, they are fantastic on my jeep!

There is something beautiful about stainless steel when it comes to tools and equipment. Stainless is always durable, easy to clean up, and very durable. I was searching for a d-shackle for my jeep that I could secure my winch hook to. The problem I was having was finding a size that for the slugs on my bumper without having a huge amount of slop. Most of the shackles I found locally were either 1/2", which rattled like crazy, or 5/8" which was to big for the hole. Also, everything I found available were either galvanized or painted. The 9/16 stainless fit perfectly with little rattle and looked amazing on the bumper. The threads for the key threaded in perfectly. The eye on the key was also perfect size for a standard Phillips to give it a little extra tightening.I received a discount for this shackle and it looked and performed performed perfectly. I count be happier with the fit and the finish.

This D-Shackle is going to be used on my ATV and 2000lb winch. 9/16 is exactly what I needed. Quality metal and the shackle bolt tightens up perfectly. Thank you!
