I LOVE this iridescent glitter glaze! In the video, Iโve painted the glaze over a Clark & Kensington paint color called Silver Glamour, which is silver grey with a hint of lavender. I used two coats of the glitter, but Rustoleum suggests 3-4 coats. If I do that, Iโll need 40 cans for my project (15x25 ft room) and that feels ridiculous and expensive. My room doesnโt get sunlight so trying to find a light to show off the amount of glitter on the walls was difficult. I used a flashlight in the video and a led stage light in the photo, thatโs why the photo is that gorgeous purple. The true color of the wall is in the video. Iโve tested this iridescent glaze on Tiffany Blue turquoise paint and didnโt like it, the Tiffany blue was too gorgeous on its own. Then I tested it on my 20-year-old off-white painted wall and it looked like I spilled water on the wall and thereโs a water stain. But this silver/grey/lavender paint was a perfect undercolor for the iridescent glitter. Some notes for anyone who tries it: - if you use a can over a few days or weeks (testing etc), the top of the can rusts fast, so rust particles get into the glaze. I picked them out as I rolled it on the wall. (Rust oleum - change to the plastic tops that Behr uses) - use a large roller. Iโve painted this on using a brush, small roller, and large regular roller. The large regular roller has the most even application. - it can be easily painted over! Thatโs the beauty of this. Iโve painted over this glitter on a wall three times with three different paints! The paint Iโve used is one-coat application paint but they fully cover the glitter...like it was never there. Iโm sure if you shone light where the glitterwas, youโd likely see specks of glitter but I love that it covers so easily especially during all those tests I did.

Does its job, definitely use over a darker colour, the paint is very thick and sticky so it comes out patchy on wall but does overall do the job!

This is a clear "paint" with iridescent glitter in it that goes on over your paint color, after the paint has dried. Not cheap but so worth it! I had originally planned to use this but had a hard time finding it so I opted for paint crystals first, but didn't get the result I was looking for. Additionally, I thought it might be a pain to have to go over the wall(s) with ANOTHER coat of paint when I could just save time by mixing the crystals right into the paint. I had also read mixed reviews on this. Apparently some people have had problems with it being too watery and dripping after it gets onto the walls. I didn't have that issue at all. It was more watery than paint but I think as long as you don't load up your roller with too much of it you'd be fine. Also, I read that some people had to use multiple coats to get the effect they were looking for. I don't know how that's possible because with just one coat, the wall I painted was SUPER sparkly! The only "issue" I had, if you'd even call it that, is since the paint is clear, it was slightly difficult to see where I had and hadn't applied it yet. Since I was painting at night and didn't have any natural light, I had to use a flashlight to catch the glitter in certain areas to make sure I hadn't missed any spots. But that wasn't really a problem so much as a tiny extra step. It is exactly the look I was going for! It was super easy to apply and looks amazing. If you are looking to do a glitter wall, spend the extra money and effort!

I attempted to use this glitter for a bathroom wall, unless you get it absolutely perfect and every single coat is done even - youโll be ok, if not it looks dirty and clumpy. I ended up painting over it with a different glitter product.
