Is this a good baseball to play with? Looking for a ball for my 9 year old nephew to practice with.

This baseball is meant to be used as a memorabilia ball to showcase or save for autographs, but it could be used for practice occasionally if it is taken care of. It will not last as long as a normal Rawlings practice ball meant for a 9 year old, though. Thanks!

Is this ball good to get autographs on? Or is the outside of the ball have a plastic feel? Does it feel like a regular baseball feel?

This is essentially the "OLB3" ball, NOT the MLB one. True MLB baseballs are made in Costa Rica. This one is made in China. True MLB baseballs have 216 single stitches (or 108 double) rolled flat seam stitches. This one has 176 single / 88 double normal (not flat seam) stitches. True MLB baseballs have full grain leather. This does not feel like a real MLB baseball. Also no, it's not good for autographs as there's writing or logos on all the "sweet spots". And sharpies don't adhere well to synthetic. Use ONLY ballpoint pens if you want to use it for autographs.

This ball feels lighter than i remember using in high school and college. is it a different weight than official mlb balls?

This baseball is not intended to be used in games. Especially high school or college. It should however be the same approx. weight as an MLB baseball. The cover is also pleather, not leather as in most game baseballs.

Does it come with a squared display case ?

No, the Rawlings "Official MLB Team Logo Baseball" does not come with a display case. It comes with only an unofficial baseball with and "Official Team Logo". Seems we need to be lawyers to shop.

I can't believe they're Rawlings, the worst balls I've ever bought.

I don't understand how Rawlings, such a prestigious brand, could have manufactured these balls. I can't even return them because the warranty expired a month ago. In just two weeks, the balls were already misshapen and oval; it seems like they're filled with cotton. Don't waste your money buying these balls.👎🏾😖
