Works great for UBNT cameras also, What ana amazing device wish I had this years ago it would have saved me alot of money
This thing works great for UBNT cameras for POE passive 24v. I ran UBNT POE cameras off it and a 200ft run. 75ft to this box then broke out to cameras one going up to 200ft farther down in a warehouse. It powered them and ran them. This is a POE switch powered by POE instead of a power pack. I could have used this so many times for just a micro switch to get me out of a jam. I am going to keep one in my truck at all times and a POE power brick to juice it with. Probably one of the spare UBNT bricks. forgot to mention I am using a UBNT switch 8 port POE as the input not the included power brick that comes with the camera. The brick is .5 amp and the switch will do a lot more as needed to feed it and the other cameras. Each cam should only use .2amp this splitter also takes some power but it works great. I love it I can cycle the POE in the switch port on my phone and it will cycle the power to this and all devices connected to it if one of the cam's need to be rebooted from remote. The price is a deal I would pay $99.00 easy for this. Here is a quick tip, I mounted mine with a magnet I took out of a hard drive I took apart they are amazing strong. It has three hole on it. Use nut and bolt that comes with cameras then this will snap to any metal wall. I have it upside down on an I-beam in a warehouse. Does not come with power pack since it is powered by POE they make it in 4 port model also. Great work on the manf. of this.

It is what is says, plug and play, drives at least 2x PoE cameras off one PoE cable
We wanted a second camera up where we had just pulled a Cat5e cable. We added this passive hub and it just worked out of the box. Just make sure your PoE powered injector/router has the juice to drive this and your cameras...good luck figuring out what the real power draw is on your cameras though...prior to testing them. It seems there is little standardization on the various designations and rating used.

Great.
Great device as long as your band width requirements aren't huge. I used it to add (3) 4MP cameras to a system. There was no electrical close by. I routed 300' of cat5e from my poe injector @ 25 watts and connected it to this extender. I routed the three camera cables about 200' for each camera. This device will comfortably send 10 Mb. total. Adjusting the frame rates and picture quality settings brought mine below 10Mb. Will definitely use again.

Works great.
Does what it is supposed to. Plug this device into POE switch or injector, plug 4 lower power POE devices to the other side and it works! I tested with 4 Reolink RL-410 cameras. Did not test with long runs. Did not test wattage. I don't think it is a gigabit device. Gets slightly warm. Very well built from metal. I like the LINK and ACTIVITY lights on all ports. I know it will extend the distance of the DATA ethernet part because it has a 4 (5 actually) port switch, but I don't think it boosts the POE voltage.

Important to stay within wattage specs 4 output.
So far so good. Have a couple of these in the field working. 1 running 2 IP cameras the other one running 2 IP cameras and LAN connection with no problems.

Saves on cabling, saves on switches, too
Easy to install and worked flawlessly. Installed under the eaves so it is protected from the weather. I am using this to add cameras without having to run new cables. My existing system of cameras could have been installed with much fewer cables using these extenders.UPDATE: I thought I needed to get a new POE+ switch with more ports. But with each extender, I was able to free up 3 ports.

They can be daisy chained for more cameras and distance
Works well in a pinch with no enough cat6 for cameras. I put two in line with 2 cameras on each in ground in cantex box. Worked well so far hoping they keep working. UpdateStill working powering 3 Ip cameras being Poe powered itself. Excellent in a pinch

Worst extender ever !
I purchased two of these POE extenders for a job that already had cable in conduit and needed to expand on the other end.I purchased two of these to have an extra. I plugged in the first one and then my IP cameras And they lit up power great. 10 minutes later the extender starts to blink on and off over and over. I unplugged everything check my terminations, everything is verified correct. The extender is dead after 10 minutes, good thing I bought a second one. Only the same exact thing happened to the second set. Again all cables verified certified good I ended up using a different product I purchased on Amazon and it has been working for almost a year now. I just found these dead products in a box meant to return them but probably can’t now so I figure I will let everyone know on the review so that they do not have this issue as well. PS I was also only using two of the POE out ports, so the device should have been able to handle the load with no problem
