It’s excellent when used for certain things. Recommended!
It’s an excellent knife and a good value. It’s sharp. Its best usage is for precision cutting of soft fruits, vegetables, cheeses etc. Less ideal for apples, carrots etc. It’s very good for cutting and removing packaging materials.

Does the job but seems cheaply made
I frequently use a finely-serrated knife when cooking. My "go-to" finely-serrated knife wasn't a high-quality knife, and after accidentally overheating hit, it seemed ready to fall apart. I remember having difficulty finding a similar knife, and this knife turned out to be its closest cousin. The blade has several serrated sections, and I would prefer the whole blade to be serrated. Cheap metal, cheap plastic handle - it just feels cheap. I wouldn't say I like spending mega amounts on knives, but these cheaply made knives bother me. Even so, this knife does just as well, and in many cases, it does better than the finely serrated knife it's replacing. I'm glad I bought it, but at $10, I think I paid too much.

This knife is pretty cool and it doesn't afraid of anything
Are you looking to buy a knife? Do you cook less than 5 meals a week? Then quit looking at other knives that are worth half your paycheck, this knife is straight up gangsta and the only all-purpose knife you'll need in your kitchenette. Take it from me, I've had one of these bad boys for 5 years now and it still is my go to knife for mostly everything. "Why?", you may be asking yourself in some form of weird inner monologue at this online review, check this out:Full mothertrucking tang. Most $50 knives still don't come with a full tang, they fall apart from the handle months after you start using them. Don't fall for their money grabbing scams. This guy has a full tang, a bakelite (!!!) handle that is balanced just right. You'll be chopping your fingers off faster than you can scream "oh my god can you stop the pain please can you stop the pain".Wait, what's that? More expensive knives hold the edge better? Did you know you can get a sharpener and a honer for like ten bucks? You can sharpen this knife every other week in like 60 seconds flat and it will cut like a lightsaber through Skywalker's limbs every time. Trust.Five inches is the perfect length, unless you're planning on cutting a whole pumpkin or something retarded like that. In that case you should get a ceremonial scimitar. No, look, just like your father told you when you discovered you needed to be driving a big truck, it's not the size that matters, it's how you use it. A bigger knife is just going to get in your way, ugh, just trust me on this one, okay? Once you go five inches, you'll never go back, which is a weird thing to say in front of people with opinions, but you won't regret it.Like I said, I've had this thing for years and it's still in one piece and has outlived many triple digit knives that were used less frequently than this one. It's like the rich old man the whole greedy family wants dead but it just keeps going on living out of spite because it feeds off haters. Peace out.

EXCELLENT KNIFE FOR THE PRICE AND CUTS WELL
The last good cook knife I bought like this finally broke after over 10 years. The one I had before lasted also at least 10 years and it was the same knife and same brand. I hope this one will last as long. I bought a couple of other imitation knives that were cheaper at Walmart. The blades of those cheaper ones were so dull that even with extensive sharpening by machine and sharpening stone, they were pretty useless and couldn't cut. it really has to do with the very thickness and tapering of the blade towards the edge. These knives by good cook are fashioned in such a way that they cut well and the blade can be sharpened even more. But right out of the package they are sharp enough.Don't waste your time on cheaper no name knives that might look the same but are pretty useless. If you have to struggle to cut up your food and put a lot of muscle in it you're wasting your time. This good cook knife works excellently for me considering the price as well. I've tried more expensive knives the kind that come in a upright knife holding box, you know, the expensive sets. Some have been pretty lousy for a big price. But this worked fine for me and I hope it lasts me another 10 years.

Best overall kitchen knife shape, but quality has changed.
We have one of these from years ago.. it finally broke, so I ordered this one to replace it. Unfortunately the metal used for the blade is not the same. The old one was made in Taiwan. That blade is heavier, more dense, holds a good sharp edge. This one is make in China and feels more like a dollar store knife. It's sad because a knife with this size & shape is hard to find.

Perfect kitchen knife
I love a smaller, more versatile knife and this fits the bill. Very sharp and easy to hold for my tiny hands. Plus it's so affordable! I run it through the dishwasher and it's been fine. Needs to be sharpened more often but for the price I'll just buy another when it gets destroyed.
