Q: Will this tool cut through EVA foam?

It should be able to cut through EVA foam with a thickness less than 1/2 inch due to the blade width. Do be wary of fumes from the EVA foam as you are cutting. Just from cutting vinyl and pleather covered fabrics there is already some toxic plastic fumes. Hope that helps!Dremels might be a better option for cutting and shaping EVA foam.

Yes, but I would recommend holding the blade against the end cut for a few additional seconds to make sure it seals.

I am not sure that this will do the job you are hoping to do...I have heard of the foam knifes being used to cut stamps, but the ones I have heard of doing so are hot knifes. This cuts foam board well because it has the blade for the paper and the heat for the foam. I think you need more heat than what this will give you.
