Q: Is there any flexibility in the route, or is there only one way to configure it? Can two sets be combined to make a longer ride?

Hi David, You are welcome to combine sets and make something on your own and K'NEX fans do it all the time. Doing a search online will show lots of examples. Our sets provide one, and sometimes two, different configurations but all the parts work together so you are welcome to come up with a design of your own by reconfiguring a set or combining sets. Your imagination and the number of K'NEX parts you have are your only limitations.

Q: is K'nex good for an 11 year old girl ?

If she enjoys roller coasters and likes to be challenged, it can be very rewarding.

Q: What kind of batteries does it take?

The K'NEX Electric Inferno motor takes 2 AA (LR6) batteries not included in the set.

Q: How big is this when it's built?

We built it on a 2 foot by 4 foot table. It pretty much took up the whole table.
