Replaced adhesive with strong magnets
I've been wanting to add an air-scoop for sometime now but was concerned about the adhesive strips being used and couldn't decide if I wanted to face it forwards or backwards. Found a solution which I hope will solve both. I removed the adhesive that it came with and replaced it with a strong, thin, rare-earth magnets. The magnets held and scoop even at 80mph and now gives me the option of flipping it around when needed solving that argument as to which way is best-- which really depends on what you're doing. 😉

STURDY AND CAME AS ADVERTISED
I used a higher strength bonding tape to the hood as the original one didn't appear strong enough to keep the scoop in place. Other than that it looks good. I placed it below the vents so its not functional so I wished it had the vents built in like a regular scoop.

Didnt meet expectations
This product looked silly on my car so I returned it. Super skinny 3m tape was the only thing holding it on. Couldn’t justify keeping it.

Seems good
Haven’t installed mine yet. Seems it could use more adhesive, like all the way around. I’ll redo the adhesive all around and I’ll likely even put 4 black screws through it that match my hood vent
