Wanted to change the cords of my ukulele because the instrument. Sounded really hollow. It was the first time I did this. It was fairly easy to do and the cords provided for my concert ukulele were quite long. It took me time to put the cords under tension as the tension changes rapidly in the first few hours. My wife has just started learning how to play the ukulele, and was a little over-zealous while tuning it, and broke a string. After talking to friends who know about these things, I immediately sent for these Aquila replacement set of strings (two sets - just in case!!). They arrived very quickly, and I was very impressed with the colour coding on the ends so that I knew whjch was the G string I needed to use. Restringing took all of five minutes, even though my guitar restringing days were decades ago. While the strings supplied with the ukulele needed continually retuning for a week until the had completed their initial stretching and relaxation,, the new one bedded in very quickly, To my relatively untutored ear (at least for the ukulele) the sound is also very good, and sounds very sweet alongside my piano. Very highly recommended.

I read a lot of positive information to I swapped my stock Mitchell uke strings out with these and the sound was immediately noticeable. The strings give a warm, longer sound that's really nice. As with any strings, they take a couple of days to stretch out, so don't expect them to be play ready. You'll be re-tuning somewhat frequently at first. But the difference is really worth it, especially for $7.
