Will the wifi enabled device be available to swap out for those that have purchased this Bluetooth version?

The WiFi gateway works with the Bluetooth sensors. I originally purchased just the Bluetooth sensors but then wanted to access the measurements while away from home. I purchased the WiFi gateway and placed it near the Bluetooth sensors. Now I can see temperatures while at work or traveling. This system works perfectly. I found it easier to setup than other smart home devices. I love the data logging for temp and humidity.

Does it log data when not connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth? ie: could it log data during a plane ride?

Yes, the sensor can hold over 20 days of data. The data gets pushed to any paired phone via Bluetooth when it comes within range, even if the app remains in the background.

How long will the battery last?

I purchased mine May 2018 and replaced the battery early 2021. It's only been used in my child's bedroom. My husband purchased and replaced the battery in it and we're still using it. The app told us when we needed to replace it and after at least a couple of weeks we finally did.

Thinking about this for incubator. Will it transmit through plastic?
