K702 Cable Coiled Aux Cord for AKG K240, Q701, K712, K240S, K141 Headphones

Nice rubbery feel. Seams like a quality product. I just received it. The plugs are solid with no connection issues. A whole lot cheaper than the oem Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro X version for my cans. Just the right length for use at my pc. The sound is as good as my oem straight cable. Give it a try.

Now THIS is a cable. My AKG K245's came with a straight cable that costs THIRTY DOLLARS to replace, and you will have to replace it if you are anywhere that it might get snagged. After I was on my second replacement and it was going, I was lucky enough to find this after some research. Half the price and double the quality. The connection where the wires are soldered has an unscrewable outer shell just like an instrument cable would, so if the thing _does_ break, you can just fix it, provided you have the tools. But the coil makes that a lot less likely. This cable is nice and durable and deserves your respect. The only problem is the little rubber piece that is supposed to sit in the screwable metal connector piece keeps falling out, so a tiny bit of the wires are exposed where they go into the enclosed connection area. It's not a big deal, but it makes me a little nervous. If you have AKG headphones, you should have this cable. They're wrong to not give it to you with some of the "lower end" models, but if you come upon this page and you don't have one, it's a sound investment.

Feel robust, flexible for use on my desk. I made the comparison from the stock cable and this one and it does make a difference in sound, a slight difference but enough to a non educated ears can detected. Quality feels good and lasting, I doubt that I will face tears and wear in several years.

It says it'll extend up to 15, and maybe it technically will but it'd be crazy to try it. At about 7 feet of tug, it will pretty consistently try to pull out of the jack from the tension. pulling it further will also stretch it permanently, I suspect. So I use it as a short to mid-range cable, about up to 7 feet. I don't view that as a false advertisement because, y'know, maybe it does technically go to 15 feet. Great cable overall though, I love it for what I need it for. UPDATE: I ordered it Jan 21, 2021, and today, March 3, 2022. It met it's end with the whisper of 14 months normal use. It now feeds only one ear. Make of this what you will.

Perfect replacement for my akg headphones.

Works great, the connector where it is plugging into the headset after just a few days of use has wires exposed. Has not effected sound quality at all but was disappointed at how quickly the connector was separating from shielding.

It's good. Just an upgrade to the straight cable, though it's good to have both, sometimes you need the extra length.

Stay away not as advertised. Compressed the coils are 400mm ! Getting further than 1500mm from the input is difficult.

I’m not sure why no one has rated this yet, but the cable is amazing! 5/5. It was the only one with a coil like the OEM cable and works very well for my Pioneer HDJ2000’s. I had previously bought a non-coiled replacement on Amazon that had high ratings which broke in under a year due to the cord always snagging. This is the cord you want if your OEM cable is broken. Hope it lasts, as this is a great find!
