great product
I purchased the stainless steel version. The 4 stars for "lightweight" is because this is not thin and flimsy. Solid construction and design gives it a bit of weight. I was concerned about it being too small but it has been a hit with everyone that has seen it. I have a small camper so a regular box store firepit was not a viable option. The way this pit nests inside itself and its good quality carry bag made this one of my camping favorites. Some reviewer complained about he quality of the carry bag. Yes I would have preferred a cordura nylon bag, but the included vinyl bag is adequate and will last with just a bit of care. This pit makes a really nice fire with tall flames using pellets. Easy to start and clean after. Puts off a lot of heat with almost no smoke. It does not put out the amount of flame from the small holes near the top like the expensive smokeless pits advertise. You get some and maybe if you used more pellets for a hotter fire you would get more. I like it way better than a regular pit that smokes up your eyes and clothes causing to to play ring around the pit avoiding the smoke. Haven't used wood in it. Pellets leave little ash/soot and can be used in campgrounds that prohibit outside firewood. My advise; just buy it.

small INNO vs Blue Sky
I have not used this yet - so please see other reviews on that. I just wanted to show the difference in the two I have. I have had the BLUE brand for 3 years. Has worked flawlessly - just a little sanding and paint after each season of camping - solid product. I just wanted something smaller that's was just for the wife and I. This fits the bill. With limited space in my RV, this was a better choice - just look at the picture. It's not as solid as my Blue one, but for the price difference and my usage, this will be great. Even if it only last one season. Remember that these things are basically "on fire" for long periods of time. Glad I bought this and can't wait to use it. Small and perfect for just two people - VERY pleased so far. Will only change the 5 star rating, if needed - after I use it. Cute lil' fella!

I coild have gone a size smaller
And I was thinking I needed the large size! This unit is PLENTY big enough for our deck; at 40° F I think you could fit 4-6 small-to-medium size deck chairs around it and still be close enough for warmth. Typical of gasifier stoves, it takes a while (5 minutes?) after lighting before it is initially smokeless (not really smokeLESS, but with smoke significantly reduced). We use denatured alcohol as an accelerant to light it initially, and use wood pellet fuel. I suppose you could use twigs and small sticks, but forget it being (nearly) smokeless at that point; the fuel would be too inconsistent. First burn lasts maybe 20+ minutes before fuel has to be added, then plan on adding every 5-10 minutes. Here's the tricky part: if you want the fire to continue (nearly) smokelessly, you must add just the right amount of pellets at just the right time; too many and/or too late and the fire will smolder a bit, smoking you out, until the gasifier (afterburner?) kicks back in. Also, the more the ash and partially burnt pellets accumulate, the more difficult the timing and amount to add becomes, until finally (in my limited experience) it will smolder like any campfire, regardless. It takes maybe an hour or two to get to that point, maybe more; I can be heavy-handed adding fuel, so my time may be foreshortened. If you don't mind smelling like Smoky Stover, then what the hey; otherwise you'll have to enjoy fires like my wife ( "is it lit? Okay, I'm only here for a minute or two..." ). The unit kicks out the heat, and there can be a bit of cinder falling out near it, so we protect our composite deck with a 4' diameter fire mat/pad with the unit set in the center on top of a 2" thick paver stone... no heat or cinders reach the deck. I wouldn't plan on firing this thing in any significant breeze though, maybe 10 mph tops, as you can expect some cinders to fall, unless you have other means of dousing and/or sheltering the fire. So, for a fire-fiddler like me, it's a great little unit; fiddle away. It is not hands off, nor smoke free, and is, well, fiddley. Nice size, stores small enough in its carry bag, and looks like it could handle many years of my abuse. Using heat grade wood pellets, this thing is pretty cheap to operate. Using food grade pellets, it could double as a grill...

Excellent fire pit. If you are researching options, just get this one.
Large 21" size review I am very happy with this purchase. I spent about 2 hours researching smokeless fire pits until I settled on this one. I have used it about 8 times now and I love it. I don't know why some other reviewers have had issues. Here is how I use it: 4 inch layer of hardwood wood pellets - $5 per 40LB bag at Menards ( straight pellets without other additional wood lasts about 3 hours per bag) Rubbing alcohol as starter - full flame within 5 minutes I sometimes add wood once the fire gets going (small branches and limbs, i haven't tried logs yet) THIS REALLY IS SMOKELESS. I was expecting reduced smoke but was pleasantly surprised by how little smoke there was, even when adding twigs and branches. NO MORE SMOKEY SMELLING CLOTHES IT BURNS REALLY HOT. You get a roaring fire that radiates plenty of heat. The downside is that it does go through fuel kinda fast. 4 inches of wood pellets lasts about 30 minutes, but you get a great flame that puts out a lot of heat. I did leave it out in the rain once and now there is some rust on the inside, but its an outdoor fire pit and I fully expected it to get a patina. If it does get wet, spray out the ash and water mixture and dry it out so it won't corrode. I haven't had any paint peeling and it still looks great.

Still Going Strong After 3 Years
I've had this Innostage since June 2021 and I think it's great for the price and what it does. The bottom of the pit is a little warped and rusted, but that was my fault for leaving it out in rain or snow a few (like 3 or 4 times). The performance is unaffected. It takes some time to understand how it works and how to get an effective, albeit short, fire going. Overall, it is smokeless for the most part and puts off a good amount of heat. You get about 30 minutes for a fire and 20 of it is roaring - depending on how many pellets you add. Rule #1: NEVER add more pellets to a roaring fire or smoldering ash. You will release a smoke monster. Rule #2: NEVER EVER add more pellets to an existing fire or smoldering ash. You will upset your guests and significant other. Pour in the pellets to about more than half way, but under the little inside holes. Next, spray some lighter fluid, light and enjoy. That's really it. And follow the 2 rules above. When all you have is smoldering ash left, you can use some metal tool (like a hoe) and push and scrape the ash around the bottom to force it into the catch basin thing below. After that, you can add more pellets and repeat the process. Just be careful redoing the lighter fluid since the ash below can reignite from below.

Easy way to get your s’more on!
UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER Still love this pit. Medium size is nice, still think a large size would be better. I have several stacks of small splits to feed the fire. Ideal for impromptu smores with the kids or having a cup of coffee early in the morning as I let my smoker get up to temp. I always dump the ashes and store in the garage if rain is in the forecast. Moisture mixed with ash is certain to degrade a pit faster. ORIGINAL I got the medium size in stainless steel. I love that this is quick set up and easy to stow away. I’ve used pellets and firewood, and I definitely prefer firewood. Much easier to manage, IMO, but I like that I can use pellets, too. The design on this is so good for impromptu fires and it burns everything down to nothing. After it cools, I clean up with a blower and pack it back in its bag. I use less wood because it’s efficient and while I’d like to have a bigger one than the medium size, it serves its purpose nicely. Cut some firewood down in length, arrange it, light it with one of those BBQ tumbleweeds and it’s blazing in no time. I would recommend this fire pit but I would not go smaller than the medium size.

Freaking awesome!
I bought this in the 13 inch size to pack up and take with us when we go to little Airbnb cabins that don't have a fire pit. It packs up so neatly in a 13-in diameter x 6-in tall bag! Pros: super easy to start the fire, great little size. Buy some fire starters or fatwood and you won't have any problems. Very toasty! Once the Flames really get going it is truly smokeless. Cons: because of the design of a smokeless stove, it does burn your fuel fast. Be prepared with lots of logs or pellets! I haven't had problems with it overheating onto my concrete, but that should be something you take into consideration. It gets so hot I would not put this on wood or certainly a manufactured wood deck.

The Fauxlo Stove!
Are you more an Rtic kinda person or does it just have to say Yeti so everyone knows you're fancy? Leave that expensive fire pit for your influencer friends. This one is WAY more convenient. I have plenty of experience with both fire pits. They both have learning curves. They both require pretty constant attention. And, none of these are really smokeless... I think "less smoke" is a better way of putting it. These things burn SO hot, which is what makes them less smokey. Instead of languid, lingering smoke you sometimes get from a traditional fire pit, the smoke these produce rises very fast due to all the heat and more complete combustion. That also means they burn thru fuel a lot faster than a normal fire-pit. This is fine because every fire pit hang will have some dude who just can't stop messing with the fire pit. Put that dude in charge of running this thing because if you're also trying to cookout or entertain you won't be able to do all the above alone. The wood pellets are very easy to handle. Just get set up in a chair with a bucket full of pellets with a beverage, and basically you just constantly feed it a handful every few minutes to keep it going. If you add too much... you'll know real quick. Adding too much smothers the flames, causes A LOT of smoke, but in like 30-60 seconds it takes off again. After your 2-3rd burn you'll have it down. I've started using EnduroLogs to kinda be more of a base fuel, and sprinkle the wood chips along with it. The fire dies down pretty quickly, once you stop adding fuel. It will be dead in about an hour. Two hours you'll have cool ash. Bonus, It packs down much smaller than "the fancy one".

Very good!
Works very well. Portable. Much easier travelling with a bag of wood pellets than a bunch of wood. And yup, pretty much smokeless.

Ottimo

Portable, easy to use and works great
Amazing little pit. Takes about 8 minutes to get going good but huge flames when it gets rolling. I've used pellets and thrown some wood in as well. Just make sure to add a bit of pellets at a time (after initial burn) so that you don't throw off a bunch of smoke. Cheaper than my propane fire pit (a $7 bag of canadian tire pellets will burn for about 10 hours) and throws way more heat. This model was much cheaper than other versions but the quality is still there, I will definitely keep it dry to avoid rusting but I won't be upset if it does. I absolutely love this thing.
