Beautiful and sturdy
Quality item. Love the look of it. Thick heavy plastic that won’t leak. The only drawback is that the cover is quite thin material and would be hard to remove to wash.

Worth the little extra $$
Smooth, soft, nice to look at. Stays warm for a good while. I bought it for myself, the photo just shows it’s kitty approved. I also bought it alongside another that was half the price. They’re both good. This one you can tell in the rubber it’s smoother, more refined, more manicured with less imperfections. It also comes with a little hook 🪝 displayed in photo that I didn’t know about and that the other one doesn’t have for storage. Buy whatever you want, but you’ll probably get what you pay for!

So far "okay"
Update: it's been nearly a month. The smell has faded, but it's still there. With more use, I anticipate it'll eventually be gone entirely. The smell still clings to whatever fabric it lays against, though, but it's not as bad as it initially was. Again, I'm sensitive to smells, so this won't be an issue to probably most people. I also found that the hottest tap in my house is apparently in my basement; it gets the hot water bottle hot enough, but it'll mostly be tepid water for those "4 to 6 hours". Overall, I think it works great for keeping me warm in the cold weather. For pain, however, I'd probably stick with a more reliable and steady source of heat, like an electric heating pad.I just received this, so I'll update if anything changes, but so far the gist is:The good:-It's nice and pliable; it bends well around one's shoulder, for example.-I like that it's made in Germany. I have no doubts that it will hold up well.-it comes with a nice cover, which for 25 dollars, it better come with something extra. The not-so-good:-It smells. It doesn't smell like rubber, though. The closest I can describe it is "bathroom cleaner". It's strong enough that the smell clings to my clothes. I can still smell it on my shirt even now. I imagine over time it will fade, but it's not pleasant to me. I am, however, sensitive to smells, so if you're not then this might not be much of an issue.-I filled it with hot water from my tap, the hottest I could get. It didn't even last half an hour before the water cooled off. At it's hottest it was only "pleasantly warm". I used it without the cover (because I wanted it to air out), so I can't even imagine how useless this would be with the cover on.-The cover is inconvenient. You, of course, have to take off/put on the cover when the hot water bottle is empty because you have to bend in both sides of it. Honestly it's not the hardest thing in the world, but snaps at the bottom of the cover, or a flap that folds in like a pillow sham, would have been way more intuitive. It says not to use boiling water, but it may be the only way to get pain relief with this thing. With just hot tap water, one could really only use it to warm yourself up a touch (if you're in a cold room, or you want to warm up the foot of your bed, etc.). It doesn't get hot enough for pain relief and doesn't last very long.

Brings a Smile on Painful Days
Love this water bottle! I use it both hot and … not hot. The print makes me smile when I’m in pain, and I use the bottle monthly. It is comparable to a heating pad in effectiveness. I will use it on my lower back in a hair as well with no issue. Sometimes, especially at night, I don’t necessarily want the heat, just the weight/pressure, and it is perfect.I fill it from the electric kettle, which I don’t let boil but do get it good and hot. When just filled it is helpful to have another intermediate fabric as it can be rather hot, but the cloth it comes with is certainly better helpful. I have never had issues with the plug or with mold, and I have had this I believe over a year now, or close to. I often leave it filled for an extended period, though not in direct sunlight. When I fill it, I add water to about 2/3 or 3/4, and then slowly lower the bottle on a surface until the water level is at the threads. Then I seal to create the vacuum. Definitely recommend!
