This grater was bought to replace one that had worked well for years, but just didn't seem as sharp any more. The new model takes much less effort and produces super finely-grated cheeses and citrus zest. The included shield protects fingers from the cutting surface during storage. It leaves a little buildup of grated product around the front rest/support, but it's easily washed away.

Great length. Feels sturdy in your hand. Fine in the dishwasher. All around a great item and I would buy again*. It looks great and feels good to the touch. It cleans up well.If you're just looking for a Zester/Grater and don't care if it matches anything else, this is a good buy.But what I want is a FULL set that matches. After buying spoons, tongs, zester and spatulas (at a hefty total price), I forgot about (and didn't think to look for) the Pasta Spoon. Doesn't look like they have one... Had to buy one that looks 'close' from a competitor.So now I have a BEAUTIFUL DI ORO set, with the 'odd man out' pasta spoon. Kinda ruins the look. I guess the pasta spoon goes in the drawer for now?Had I known earlier, I might have bought from a brand that has everything, so I don't have to hide something.

Revidierte Rezession:Die Reibe wirkte auf den ersten Blick sehr hochwertig. Bei uns wurde diese in der Küche "normal" benutzt - also ca. 2 - 3 Monat. Und Ende November war der Spass vorbei. Das "Reibeelement" hat sich einfach vom Griff und den beiden Seitengabeln gelöst. Unbrauchbar. Schade. Doch nur minderwertige Qualität im Tarngewand. Schade.Update:Also wurde der Hersteller über Amazon angeschrieben (Bestellung lief über Market Place). Eine Rückmeldung kam am selben Tag, mit einer Entschuldigung und der Hinweis, dass der Hersteller eine lebenslange Garantier gibt. Das bedeutete für mich, dass ich 2 Tage später eine neue Reibe zugesendet bekommen habe. Vielen Dank für schnelle und unkomplizierte Abwicklung. Die "Ersatz" - Reibe kam buchstäblich im richtigen Moment. 5 Sterne.

Tried the Microplane and OXO brands and this is the best fine grater/zester I've ever used.
