Ok what is up with the price? I just ordered this on 12/3 for about $24 now over $32????

Its amazing the "inflation" from just 6 yrs ago. $24 for 12 5.5 oz cans up to a whopping $40 bucks. In just 6 yrs. I haven't even had a raise in 6 yrs lol. What a scam.

Question 2

Carrageenan is a documented known carcinogen and  also causes IBS.  Why do you continue to put it in your product.and then call it "Wellness"?

Carcinogen has been removed from this product a few years ago and the label now reflects that too. 
I do not work for Wellness or Amazon but it looks like the company did the right thing. It is too bad there is no way to push this correction to the top of the reviews to make it a non-issue now.
That is good news for our cats and for the buyers.

Question 3

Anyone know how much carbohydrate this has? The manufacturer website doesn't list a carb percentage.

It's a bit complicated to figure out carb percentages in canned cat food. First you need to add up the percentages (listed on the can) of other ingredients: protein, moisture, ash, etc. Often that will bring you to somewhere around 96-97%, etc.. But the remaining 4 or 3 or 2.5 percent gives you the wet-matter carb content. But that doesn't at all tell the whole or real story. To get much more accurate (which I need to do, e.g., because we have a diabetic cat who needs as low a carbohydrate diet as possible), you need to figure out the carb content on a dry-matter basis. Subtract the moisture content (let's say, 78%) from 100%; that gives you 22. Then divide that number by the wet-matter carb number, lets say it was 3 (arrived at from 100-97): 22 divided by 3 = 7.3%   That amount -- 7.3.% is pretty good but not great for cat food carb content. Anything over 10% should be avoided if you're looking to have your cat lose weight, have a diabetic cat, or just want a really healthy cat.  Incidentally, no grains is wonderful, but manufacturers then almost always replace the grains with other starches -- like potato starch, pea protein, sweet potatoes, etc, all of which is ludicrous and unnatural food for cats. But they "need" to do that in order to save money on meat content, which is, of course, expensive.

Question 4

can you leave this food out or do you refrigerate it?  will your cat eat it cold?

Personally, I would never recommend microwaving your cat's food.  My cat eats about 1 can of this food per day, so I feed him 1/2 in the morning, and the other 1/2 (which has been stored in the fridge) in the evening.  I always add a little water (about 3/4 T.) to each serving and mix it in really well (use tepid to warm water if the food is cold).  (The vet at catinfo.org, who has written extensively on what to feed cats for optimal health, recommends adding additional moisture / water to canned food - as much as your cat will tolerate.  The additional moisture is beneficial for their kidneys.  She advises avoiding dry food completely and gives a long list of reasons on her site.)
