Will this speaker & the rockford fosgate r500x1d prime 1-channel class d amplifier work well together.

let me tell you this i have sold mre fosgate than anyone you will ever meet. since the late 80's. built a number of high end stereo shops. remember this if nothing elese,Power doesn't blow speakers, lack of pwr blows speakers. well people blow then also, but never pwr. You may overdrive one ,but that will not blow.i got the Bd1000 mono anp on a single vc 8'' 3208 is the model of the spk.

What are the dimensions? I want to build a box undee my rear seat.

P2D2-8 Specifications Size: 8 Inches Impedance: Dual 2-Ohm Power Handling: 250 Watts RMS 500 Watts Max Voice Coil Diameter: 2.25 Inches Speaker Connector: Dual 10 AWG compression SPL(1w/1m): 83 dB Woofer Displacement: 0.030" cu. ft. (0.85 Liters) Cutout Diameter: 7.125 inches Mounting Depth: 4.76 inches

Will they sound good on the rear deck ?

it sounded really flat and disappointing when i first installed in to replace the factory sub on the rear deck. I soon placed it into a sealed enclosure in the trunk and now it rocks the entire car.

Are these works well on free air

No these are for sealed, ported boxes, bandpass etc.. Never free air for these
