Horrible product, shoddy quality.
Horrible product, poor quality, blunt and amateurish finish. The screws still have blurred edges, the faux horn is shoddy plastic. It is not even remotely worth the money or the wait to get it. Don’t waste your money. This is going straight back to the sellers for a refund.

Some construction problems
I'm not an expert in straight razors but I could see some problems with the construction of this one right off the bat.The biggest one is that the blade is not true to the handle. The pin that the blade rotates around is not perfectly perpendicular to the handle/blade and because of that the blade rotates at an angle; that causes it to not fall cleanly in the slit in the handle. The very end of the blade bumps against one of the scales and that will dull the blade. It also means that when the blade is inserted carefully in the slit, it will press against the inner wall of the slit and will become warped with time. The next problem, and which compounds the first one, is that the blade doesn't have any transverse stabilizers. Of course, I knew that when I ordered it from the picture. But a blade without transverse stabilizers will warp more easily, especially if it's subjected to lateral pressure in the closed position (like this one is).Apart from that, the quality of the blade is decent. The first shave was OK but not stellar. Will probably have to spend some time honing it before it's really usable comfortably.Later edit: I managed to correct the bad handle angle. The inside of the handle was very uneven and had rough tooling marks. There was a bump near the pin which pushed the blade towards one side. I used a dremel with a thin grinding wheel to even out the inner surfaces of the handle. Now the blade closes true, without bumping into the scales. I didn't want to start honing it before correcting this problem because it would have been pointless.

Came Shave Ready!
Great inexpensive blade. Came very sharp. Shave Ready. Don't like the scales, though. The blade nose knocks into the scales when closing and doesn't seem to close all the way into the scales. Will be trying to rescale this blade soon. Great to shave with though for now.

Not shave-ready, handle needs to be reconsidered
Blade seems solid but arrived dull at the front quarter length where the tip of the edge contacts the shell handle. I'll have to grind out the inside of the handle or make a new one for the blade to sit as intended. The thin spine of this blade will complicate the use of spacers in the handle. The handle hinges are a bit rough and cut into the pleather carrying case a bit more than I'd like, so I'll have to grind them down to smooth them out.Blade comparison compares 'GBS Black Horn Shave Ready Carbon Steel Straight Razor' (left) with the 'Gold Dollar New Arrival Shaving Ready Cut Throat Razor Straight Razor' (right). It seems that the spine of the Gold Dollar is almost twice the thickness of the GBS razor's spine. The shallow angle of the GBS razor's bevel may work betterI would recommend the blade at the price point but not the entire package as it will take some work to get the handle where it needs to be.

Junk
Very frustrated. Not even a little sharp. Hours of work honing to get even close to ready and still not good enough. I never write reviews or even care to comment on anything but I'm so pissed. Better off shaving with a kitchen knife
