You have to be careful Where you put the hooks I leave them at the end to wall They don"t come to a complete C hook you bump the curtains you will be frustrated picking them off the floor or in the toliet

Q: What is weight capacity of hook?

I have just used them for hand towels.

Q: Is there a metal spring that is exposed and could rust?

Yes there is an exposed metal spring, however my clips have been hanging off a shower rod for several months in a pretty steamy environment and the clips occasionally get wet but there no signs of rust. The metal is heavy gauge and looks like it could be stainless steel. They’ve held sopping wet clothes with no problem. And the grips do not snag or leave marks on the fabric and swivel 360 degrees. Highly recommend
