Dorsolumbar Support Brace - Back Support For Early Kyphosis, Rounded Shoulders, Posture Correction, Muscular Aches, Lumbar Support - Adjustable - Class 1 Medical Device - XX-Large - Tan

I bought this brace to deal with a Kyphosis problem. To be fair, my problem is more severe than this brace is designed to deal with. I used both the plastic reinforcement rod and the metal rod to support the back. I really needed two metal rods or a much thicker metal rod. I could easily overpower the elastic shoulder straps, so they did not really keep me erect. But as I said, my problem is more severe than this brace is designed to deal with. The pads on the shoulder straps do not provide enough comfort. But I fixed that by wrapping the elastic band inside the pad with a firm silicone pad all the way around. I found the silicone pads at the dollar store. They are about 8X8 inches square and work great. This brace is better than wearing my previous solution, and it is a stop-gap measure while I wait for a custom brace to be built. Overall, it works well enough to keep me mobile. I wear it ten to twelve hours a day every day. It does not come with instructions on how to put it on. But the manufacturer's website has good instructions.

This was a complete waste of money. There is nothing in the product description to indicate that this item is non-returnable, and unfortunately I was in a rush and did not stop to look at the reviews. That was a $70 mistake. The brace straps are complicated and impossible to put on without help. Once I finally got it figured out, I found that the brace was four inches too long for my back - either I can't sit down because it's too low on my hips, or I have a hump on my neck from the top of the brace being too high on my back. Either way it is not good. It definitely does not lie flat under clothing. It's uncomfortable - it felt like I was wearing a backpack and a corset at the same time. It did make my back feel somewhat better while I had it on, but I need something I can wear to help with back pain while I am working - I need to be able to bend, sit, and move around with the brace on. This brace will not work for that purpose. If I'd known I couldn't return it I would never have bought it. 0/10 do not recommend.

Sized 1 size too big using the company’s sizing charts. I have scoliosis in the Thoracic and Lumbar region, with osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease. Recent stress fractures on L-4 and L-5. This product actually caused a significant amount of increased pain that lasted for 2 days after trying the brace for an hour. Brace is bulky and not hidden underneath clothing. The under arm padding and the two supports in the back are very obvious, even underneath baggy t-shirts. Wore brace over dry fit tank top and was miserable almost instantly- brace is not as light weight as it appears and will most likely be intolerable for most people to wear during the summer. I can see this product possibly working for some people, but if you have scoliosis, this is NOT the brace for you. Also , brace offers very little lumbar support. If you require lumbar support this is NOT the brace for you. Absolutely zero relief for stress fractures. Zero stars for pain relief, support and comfort. Buyer beware, cannot return product.

I ordered the largest size, because I have excess skin after losing a lot of weight. I literally put it on once (over a tank top) and it was way too tight. I tried to send it back, and it said this didn’t qualify for a return / refund. I got this brace, hoping it would support my back muscles (after a failed back surgery 9 months ago). Not only is my back no better for it, I am out like $66.00! And it’s not even my money (my mother paid for it because I am unemployed). Buyer beware....... if you are unsure about what size “might” fit.....DON’T BUY THIS!

Pros: Well made, arrived promptly, overall size matches what was listed in size chart, comfortable except for armpits.Cons: Complicated to put on without assistance. The elastic straps that go under the arms are way too short and severely cut into the armpits leaving red marks & chaffing even with the padded comfort covers that go over the elastic bands.I’m going to try adding longer Velcro pieces to the ends of those straps. My husband can’t wear it as it is. He is 5’6” WITH 41” waist & ordered XXL. It fits fine around his middle & in length. Disappointing🙁

I over-all like the product, it is helping me learn to correct my posture. My only concern is I am a plus size woman and despite the size being correct it does work much like a shape former (like corset trainers) basically squishing all your fat down or up above. Hate to be graphic but that is the truth. So I am not able to wear this under my clothes or in front of anyone. So in the end its hard to find the time to even wear it. I will keep it though and hope it corrects my posture, and as I have been losing weight hopefully I wont have the issue as much.

Review by my mom. I give 3 stars because the size. I was looking for exactly this kind of support brace and I finally found it, I ordered it, but the standard size it's to long for my back. I'm 4'11 and ordered the XXL standard which is OK around my waist but I couldn't sit, it pass my hips making it very uncomfortable and painful. Also the straps are short even for a person of my stature, making it very thigh, painful and uncomfortable to wear. Maybe if the straps were 2-3 inches longer or somewhat adjustable it would feel better.P.SAnother back size (shorter) for people under 4' It will be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks

I ordered an extra large and it is a little too large. My fault, not the product. It helped my back from day one. I am short so it is a little too long but I like the firmness of the fit. It is bulky and you can see it under clothes, but it helped me so much, I didn't care. I only used the less ridged stays and they were quite firm. The crossover straps are great for adjusting the firmness of the support.

My spine is a mass of lesions, from cervical to sacroiliac joints, following two car accidents (neither my fault), rugby and a dramatic skiing accident.For 5-days before this back support arrived I was unable to get off my bed, with severe spasms from thoracic to lumbar spine.Brace arrived, worked out how to fit it... and up and about, albeit gingerly. Unlike alternative braces, this one shouldn't lead to muscle wasting, as it supports rather than holding you up.Think I will wear a T-shirt underneath it in future, to increase comfort.Fantastic product let down only by lack of fitting instructions, which is important for anyone who has not worn any kind of back brace before.For anyone struggling with - relevant - chronic back complaints, this is a cost effective aid. If you are still seeing an orthopaedic/neurological surgeon, I am sure they would want to okay the brace BEFORE you wear one.Works for me and what relief it provides!

I have back problems and my back brace i was given by the NHS was like this but in two pieces this one is so comfortable and the padding under the arms really helps

Despite measuring myself the product didn't fit.What was not clear is its non returnable purchase.We only found out when we tried to return it. So this needs making clearer before purchase.So I wasted £64.00. If U change your mind let us know. We need a bigger side beyond xxl.

While this support does help my back a lot it hurts my shoulders due to its design.

Great support and comfortable to wear. It is also very well made.
