Apart from pretending I'm wolverines long lost girlfriend these are also great for shredding various meats, so far I've done chicken and pork with no issues. Also great for grabbing the meat out of the pot as you can get a good grip. They are quite large so I have to admit for smaller portions I tend to go back to using forks.

I cook and bake extensively, all of our meals are eaten at home with food I prepare. I purchased these OXO Good Grips Meat Shredding Claws to replace 2 forks when shredding meat and poultry. Because, well, the 2 fork shredding approach never produced high quality results.The first question I asked myself during my first use of these shredding claws was: "What took me so long to purchase these shredders?" Wowza! Everything about these shredding claws as exceeded my expectations!- Outstanding quality and design. Durable and very comfortable to hold and easy to use. Made of Heat Resistant Nylon, which makes the claws heat resistant to 450* F.- Sized as advertised.- Shredding: Don't overthink your shredding technique, just shred! Can use both claws to shred at the same time, or turn one claw upside down to used as an anchor to hold down the meat or poultry.- Tongs: These 2 shredding claws make the BEST tongs for lifting food out of slow cookers, pans, and skillets.- Clean up is a breeze. I hand wash mine, but the claws are dishwater safe.These shredding claws are a terrific value, too, and will last a very long time. I highly recommend this handy product.

I got tired of using forks to shred my chicken and other meats in large volume for meal prep and after using the mixer with disastrous results I got these bad boys! Oxo makes great quality stuff, these meat shredders are no different, they are solid with a good feel in your hands, the claws are sharp enough to grab what your shredding and they allow you to go from corse to a fine shred. I totally recommend these to anyone.
