Nice Plain Stainless
I'm very happy with this. I wanted a simple stainless backsplash. My wife wanted something with a pattern. Since I'm the cook and cleaner, I don't want textured surface to clean. Plus what we saw were all stick-ons. I'm thinking sooner or later stick-ons fall off from the harsh environment over the stove. And the ones that don't fall off ruin the drywall when you need to remove them. I installed this with screws only. It lays reasonably flat against the wall. I might put a micro bead of caulk around the edges to prevent any water getting behind from a large splash or while cleaning. I didn't want to glue or caulk behind it in case I want to remove it without destroying it. Installation tips at the end of the review.I was worried about shipping but this came well packed. Even though I bought this as Amazon Prime, I believe Amazon drop shipped this one from NuTone. It came in a heavy flat cardboard box but the box was thoroughly fiberglass strapped to a sheet of Masonite board larger than the box on all sides. The Masonite had chipped edges and corners but the product box was unscathed as was the actual sheet. The good side had protective film and the non-filmed side looked pretty good but brushed a little more coarsely. Not sure why they call this 'reversible'. The 'good side' was finished identically as my NuTone hood. Mine is magnetic. Neodymium magnets stick very strongly. Regular magnets stick ok too.Tips... Check the wall first and scrape off any imperfections that might prevent the sheet from laying flat. Leave protective film on. Take your time and drill your holes carefully. I held in place and marked all holes. Then I drilled one top hole and installed the drywall anchor. I held the sheet up again and installed the one screw and rechecked the other top hole location. Remove, drill, repeat. I rechecked the fit and my marks before drilling each hole. Drill bits tend to wander in drywall so I used a tiny pilot bit first. You want these holes PERFECT. If the screws bind with the holes on the backsplash, the sheet will not lay flat when you get all 4 in. #8 screws are recommended but I used #6 stainless screws and washers to give me a little more leeway. When you are finally ready to screw it down, peel back the film only at each corner. Screw it down and don't crank the screws hard at all. Just very gently snug. Now peel the film off. Be careful, it's stuck pretty good so peel at a low angle to not accidentally pull/bend the sheet away from the wall. Press down on the sheet as you peel just in case. If you have some gaps to the wall, squeeze a drop of calk under it and tape down till dry. I don't recommend applying glue or caulk to the back prior to installing. You will surely bend the material and ruin the drywall if you ever need to remove this for some reason.

Easy upgrade for a backsplash
Product shopped quick, came well packaged and undamaged. One side almost perfectly matched the finish on all my stainless appliances, other side was protected by a blue dilm which I didn’t remove as i assumed it was highly polished and going against the wall. The picture on Amazon only shows holes pre drilled in two corners but this had them in all four corners.I used drywall anchors and cabinet head screws I had on hand for installation. I was able to tuck the top behind my range hood which looked good.Edges are very sharp im no wimp but wore gloves.

Good backsplash for the price
I received this order awhile back and we got around to hanging it tonight. We pulled out the stove and had the liquid nails ready to go. The product comes with a thick white plastic covering the side that will face out. I peeled back each corner near the screw holes in order to avoid unnecessary fingerprints while installing it. (Hint: Do not do this. Peel it all off first.) So we dry hung it, marked the holes, and drilled pilot holes. Then we liquid glued the back, hung it, and I held it in place while my husband drilled it in.So, excited for the reveal, we removed the white plastic and immediately noticed a deep black scratch near the top. (Thus my hint of peel off the plastic first.) We quickly tried rubbing the scratch off but it was embedded. No idea what it is, but the white plastic had a black backing, so I think it may have been scratched in? Fortunately, the liquid glue wasn't on its A game, so we unscrewed it, pulled it off the wall, and flipped the piece. The scratch is covered by the stove now.Others have noted this thing isn't precisely 30 inches. True story. We have about a quarter inch of wall on each side, and our space is exactly 30 inches from one cupboard to the next. So...this may bother you, it may not. I haven't determined if this bothers me yet. I think it'll be one of those house things that you notice when you DIY but no one else really notices or is just nice enough not to mention.Overall, I'd say this is a decent backsplash for the price. Other places I looked has similar items in the same size for more than twice the price. And its certainly an easy piece to hang. Even with having to flip the piece over, it took us maybe 20 minutes.

Excellent quality
I must say that this product is excellet. Why? It was sent in a box that is strong and dent-proof. The measurements are precise. Predrilled 4 holes so it was ready for installation. I must also thank to delivery, on time and with care (this time Amazon delivery was made by our local Usps).Yes, it is stainless steel and can hold magnets. Just what i was looking for. A little bit pricey though…
