Refresh Lacri-Lube Lubricant Eye Ointment

There are many combinations of ingredients from other products on the market, but Lacri-Lube seems to have hit on the best combination for me. It comes out of the tube easily and smoothly right into the lower eyelid. It's not thick and gooey making a big mess onto your eye lashes, but is long lasting. I wish they would make these products in a larger size as I have to use it nightly because of severely dry eyes. It's also hard to find anywhere tother than on-line.

My eyes are extremely dry. My ophthalmologist, told me that they are amongst the driest he has ever treated. I actually has an operation once to close my tear ducts, thus allowing my tears to flow more freely by allowing the moisture to flow into my eyes rather than be absorbed by my tear ducts. The procedure didn't work as I looked like I was crying all the time...too many tears. So, the operation was reversed.I was told to use Refresh Lacri-Lube Lubricant Eye Ointment when my eyes feeel extremely dry - a burning sensation. I always use it before bed. It works well but is a bit sticky and does blur my vision for few hours. To me, this product is well worth the stickiness. However to resolve this I use Lacri-Lube along with Refresh Tears Lubricant Eye drops - not sticky at all but very effective when used with Lacri Lube or alone during the day. I find that I have to use the tears once every few hours. Most people do not need to use the tears as frequently, however.I recommend this product very highly. But the as one might expect, ointment was hard to see for a while.I got plugged up tear ducts (not out but the ones on your upper edge below lashes. Have a problem with that and it only made it worse.

I used this product to relieve discomfort from dry eyes following eye surgery. It works great! I wish it was possible to use it 24-hours, but that’s not practical because it creates cloudy vision due to the ointment’s viscosity. It’s very soothing, and works better than any other product I’ve tried!
