So much fun, a little messy but a fun keepsake

I bought this to make a birthday gift for my niece with her kids hand prints. Very easy to mix instructions were easy to read and it was quick and easy for the kids too. The final product was very detailed.

I've purchased a couple of these and it is easy to use. The instructions are clear and the kit is very "handy"!!!

I bought this for my parents in their 80's to do (with my help). Instructions were easy to follow. However, I don't think their was enough liquid in there, it didn't quite cover their wrists. We added the right amount of water. I made the mistake of dumping the part #2 all the way on the top bucket. It made for a nice base, but I struggled to remove it from the bucket. The gelatin chunk that firmed up was easy to remove, but took a while to remove in the nooks and crannies. My parents who were not super thrilled about doing this, but loved it. They ended up putting a clear sealant over it and it looks a lot shinier than in the photo. I would recommend to do. This will be a treasure when they are gone.

My grandmother was passing and I wanted to do a mold of her hand before she passed. The package came after she had passed. I made arrangements with the funeral home to still get the mold of her hand. I went to the funeral home, followed directions mixed the mold, it says it’s for 2 hands and it didn’t even make enough mold for 1/2 a bucket full. Then I did the 90 sec mixing like it said, at first it was purple and I went to try to put my grandmas hand in and the mixture was already turning blue and setting before I could position her hand in the bucket, I tried adding more water but the solution was gelling up, needless to say I was devastated that I didn’t get the mold! This maybe good for people with small children who can’t sit still long enough because it dries so quickly but for the keepsake I needed it didn’t work. I just got a mold of the bottom of the bucket and chunks! I’m so sad.. that’s why I gave one star for easy to use, because it dries way to fast. 1 star for money value because it was a waste of my money and 1 star for gifts left because the mold was suppose to be for my sister who was out of the country when grandma passed for her to have a piece of her with her and a hand to hold. I’m just heart broken this happen. Like I said it maybe great for kids but not for what I wanted to do.

The molding process was easy enough but when we got to the actual mixing casting part of it is where things got a little less easy to use. The instructions say to use one 500 ml cup of water for the casting mix which seems ok at first but it started to set too fast. Which is why we are missing finger tips and huge air bubbles since the mixture was entirely to thick to do it the way the your instructed to do. Also the final product leeched some of the pink/purple color from the mold.

So fun with the grandkid! Good for ages 5 up and up. A little wiggle is ok.

Great product, awesome detail. The mould takes a bit longer to dry then it says so sit somewhere comfortable lol Other then that its awesome. Would definitely buy again!
