The title jumps out at you and you feel the excitement of experencing those long ago days of trucking. However, after just a ashort time, I realized this was a lack luster at best book trying to explain the time period leading up to and thru the the 1950's. There are far better books out there available that do the 1950's trucking scene better justice and with better pictures and more history. This book is fine for the coffee table for awhile but it is not high on my list of recommending it. After being a truckdriver for 27 yesrs, and loving the trucks and history, this book just did not keep my interest.
