This works quite nicely for the price
This works quite nicely for the price. I am not an audiophile or videophile so I can't speak to the distortion that some people complained about for both audio and video. The video comes through well. I suspect that some of the distortion complained amount has more to do with the original video quality available. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to play my old xbox games on a new tv, including the audio which my tv actually outputted with the optical out so that I didn't have connect the old RCA cables right to the stereo to get sound.

It works but there is a little Pair supply humm on the audio.
Pair supply humm on the audio. I have unplug both one at a time and it is on both sides so obviously this cable is poorly shielded. It allowed me to get HD but due to the poor quality I would recommend getting a better quality product. I am able to utilize this product to play games but I’m not really sure how long this will last due to the poor quality.

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
All in all good for the price, not great. They work as a set of "ok" Xbox component cables, and occasionally causes the screen to blank out for a bit. The sound quality is sub par and full of interference noise (i.e. low buzzing) which I can only assume is from cheap cables.Worst case scenario the buzzing gets louder and I frankenstein a 360 component cable with this cables Xbox adapter end. Saw a YouTube on it.

Both worked fine at first
These are really hit or miss. I bought two. Both worked fine at first, and then one started to flicker and would randomly drop the picture to the TV. The other has obvious defects because it will randomly decide to stretch a standard 4:3 image to 16:9 and vice versa. No amount of changes in the system display settings will resolve the issue. This makes both of the cables I ordered essentially garbage and completely useless in less than a year of ownership. For the record, I have a cheap old Component cable for multiple systems that I bought at Gamestop many years ago that has NONE of these issues with any of my Xbox's... I am certain that the cost to manufacture that cable couldn't have been much more than these cheap pieces of junk: I don't understand why the market for this kind of stuff is so horribly flooded with cheap, barely functional subpar products... Stay away: as long as people keep buying this crap, it will continue to saturate the market which is bad for all of us.

Poor Shielding. You get what you pay for
I read the reviews and still purchased with caution just to try them out. I can confirm when using these cables, the lack of shielding is evident and in a room filled with other tech, like a game room, etc etc... you'll notice a buzzing as well as video signal interference.I bought some better cables from eBay and buzzing / video signal was rock solid.Look, these things are dirt cheap so don't expect something magical. I noticed outside of the interference, the overall quality of the signal was much improved to the composite signal.I'd say, try them out and if they work, great and save some bucks, but if they don't just return them.

Connection problems
I was glad when I could find new old stock for an original XBox to connect to a modern TV. It was a good price and arrived quickly. The reason I gave it 3-stars is the audio worked, but video did not. I had to wiggle the connector to get it to work properly. It's probably a bent pin or something, but was a bit worrisome until I figured it out.
