Not great, but good enough for kids playing around in the neighborhood. They require 2 batteries, not included. 2 times 9V batteries (one for each receiver; that is the box-shaped alkaline ones. Oh, and be sure to have a Phillips head screw driver handy as well). It has a beeping button for Morse codes that no one ever uses (but it is still cool to be able to make beeping noises). Reminded me of the same type of walkie-talkies I had as a kid. Why not? Five stars (until they break or disappoint my family otherwise). I will update if I find anything out-of-the-ordinary with these walkie-talkies. Review: Great gift for four-year-old boy - These were a really great Christmas gift for my four-year-old nephew. He really liked them. They worked really well. The size of small, great durability and fun for kids. Very easy to use and the battery lifr lasts very long. ## Features - Long 1000' Range Communication Range: These kids walkie talkies deliver reliable two-way communication up to 1000' Range for neighborhood play, camping, hiking, and outdoor adventures without needing WiFi or a smartphone. - Simple Push-to-Talk Operation: One-button push-to-talk design is easy for children ages 6 and up to use independently. Be serious. **Q: Can these conect to other sets?** A: Only if they are preprogrammed on the same frequency. My son has a set of these and his buddy has a completely different brand walkie talkie and they are able to talk back and forth from his brand to the nerf brand. **Q: Can you talk normally in them?** A: If you mean do you have to shout or speak extra loudly, then no. But you do have to speak directly into the walkie talkie while holding in the button. Hope that helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Old-school is still cool. *by M***I on February 9, 2017* They were cheap, they work. He really liked them. They worked really well. The size of small, great durability and fun for kids. Very easy to use and the battery lifr lasts very long. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stopped working quickly and then worked again *by A***D on January 2, 2015* Started making a horrible screeching noise every time they were turned on after a few hours of use. Then we left them alone for several days and then they started working again. Don't know what the problem was, but they seemed to have fixed themselves. My 5 year old wanted walkie talkies to play with in the house. These are a great option. They are cheap and work well in the house. There is a lot of static, but I didn't want to pay more for a toy. Sometimes it is hard to understand him with the static. They are rather loud, so he can't play with them after his sister goes to bed. But as with any toy, there are restrictions that parents put on them. You get what you pay for. I wanted a toy that he could play with in the house and that's what I got. I'm pleased now that they are working that way again. ## Frequently Bought Together - Nerf Walkie Talkie for Kids Fun at The Touch of A Button, Set of 2, 1000' Range by Sakar, Rugged Pair Battery Powered Gray Blue & Orange - NERF Elite 2.0 Commander RD-6 Dart Blaster, 12 Darts, 6-Dart Rotating Drum, Outdoor Toys, Ages 8 and Up - Taiker Compatible with Nerf Vest Kit, 2 Pack Tactical Vest for Nerf Gun, N-Strike Elite Jacket for Boys, Girls --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/261599-kids-walkie-talkie-set-of-2-1000ft-long-range-push](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/261599-kids-walkie-talkie-set-of-2-1000ft-long-range-push) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
