Fixed my problem.
They work! Watch the Utube video on how to make the repair. It wasn't difficult. Got the odometer working again.

will fit with minor modifications to a 91 Mercedes 560 sec
you will need to cut the spacer off one of the larger gears. very easy with a box cutter . also the small 12 tooth gear design is different it is friction fit , you will have to get rid of the brass inner bushing of the original 12 tooth gear in order to be able to slide this over the bearing/needle.

The shaft side of the large gears , to loose must use epoxy, not good.
