Sirdar Snuggly Replay DK Double Knitting, Ice Cream Dream (118), 50g

This is a recycled yarn made from cotton and acrylic- a dream to knit with and so many lovely subtle colours… no splitting AND so reasonably priced!The purple is more mauve but otherwise the muted colours are very much as illustrated.It’s my go to yarn now for all my DK projects.(Reviewers say they wouldn’t use for babies - agree as I’d only use baby yarns so I don’t think you can blame this yarn! But for children and us it’s wonderful. Made myself a vest top… it’s great. Soft and comfy)Particularly good for knitted dolls’ clothes although I’d only use wool for dolls themselves. Found no problems with lot numbers and I’ve made garments in 7 different shades so I think one reviewer was unlucky - and the supplier was at fault.

I would never use this wool for knitting for a new born baby as it is definitely not soft and snuggly.

Nice wool, just not the texture I was expecting. I searched for snuggly and expected the really soft fluffy wool but this one has more of a cotton/denim texture. More than likely I just didn't read the overview because I have only ever had one sort of snuggle wool. Arrived fast, which is why I ordered it only to get going with a certain pattern while I couldn't get out. It didn't work for the pattern I wanted it for because of the texture, but I've made something different with it now

I ordered 4 balls and have started knitting and realised the shades are from different lot numbers and are really different knitted Very disappointing check your lot numbers

Lovely wool, feels thinner than the acrylics even though it is double knitting quality.I used this to make a pinafore dress and shoes for a doll and it felt gorgeous, so soft and silky.It knits up very well and feels wonderful to knit with on both metal and bamboo needles. Very smooth and quick to knit upI will definitely buy this againGood Value and Recommended

This is lovely yarn to knit with and feels comfortable on both metal and wood (or bamboo) needlesThe finished knitting stitch is well defined and the quality is always neat.It is a cotton /Acrylic mix that knits up as well as a wool mix and just as soft and fine looking.I have used it on both baby clothes and bespoke knitted dollsGood value and Recommended

Bought this product as Sridhar wools are usually a good product. Do not split and have a good variety of colours. They are comparatively reasonably priced and convenient weights for small projects. I knit a lot of baby hats for the local hospitals so ideal. Would recommend.
