I'm not sure if you can buy extra links, but the size is pretty big. I have big arms and I have to cut it with the kit that comes with it. However, my problem with this is the closure that would not stay closed. not keep open up all the time. I stop using it as I was afraid of loosing the watch.

I bought the gray and gold, which is exactly like a Rolex watch band. It matches the Apple Watch stainless steel perfectly. I don't know whether that answers your question, but I think the silver is a pretty universal color.
