Excellent!
We were encouraged to buy this book for a wine appreciation course, and I have to say that it is the book we used the most out of everything. If you want to be incredibly detailed in your wine tasting notes, then this has all the appropriate prompts you could want to include. And if you want to keep it simple, you can skip a lot of it and just record your overall impressions and a star rating at the bottom of each page. This book holds enough to record around 100 wines, each getting their own page. The pages are a tiny bit on the thin side, but I love how sleek the book is, and also that it includes some wine tasting terms to help you if you're just getting started. We loved it so much, we're buying a few as gifts for the wine lovers in our family!

Perfect for keeping track of your favorites
If you need a log book because your memory might be a little soggy then this is the one you need. How many times have you found yourself thinking about that last great wine you had? Can you remember the one you liked before that? This little gem of a book has all you need to become the connoisseur you are. After a few entries in this, you surpass being a lush. It has great little hints on what flavors to expect and what you might be smelling,I got this particular log book because many of the other ones had designated sections for styles. I don't drink rose and very little whites, why would I not use 40-50% book. This one has unmarked pages filled with the most pertinent information you should record. You just circle the closest term and write your opinions. It is slim enough to fit in a coat pocket or whatever size purse is slightly bigger than a clutch.

Good solution for writing notes but not perfect.
A nice notebook for anyone who wants to take quick wine notes during a tasting. The tasting sheets have most of the elements that are taught by the Court of Master Sommeliers and WSET. One downside is that it is rather small. An extra inch of width would have really helped for writing descriptors or notes that don't necessarily fit in any other spot. The other downside is that the pages are really thin so if you are using with an ink pen it will definitely bleed to the other side of the page - sometimes to the point that you can't use the back side.Either way, its a nice notebook when you need it and certainly helps for writing notes when you don't have a lot of time.

It's great for beginners who don't know exactly what to write ...
I've recently been trying to learn more about wine and have been using this journal. It's great for beginners who don't know exactly what to write about the wine they're drinking - it has sections you can circle or fill in the blanks. The journal is pretty low profile - black with gold embossed "Wine Notes". There is also a fold-out mini poster that fits neatly in the back pocket of the journal with wine aromas and terms. All in all it is really great for beginners. Definitely get the hardback one as several reviews state that the paperback is of poor quality. I definitely recommend for those who are just getting into wine and would also make a great gift!

Really is the Most Useful Wine Tasting Notebook for Beginner to Aficionado
I live in No. California and have been enjoying the abundance of excellent wineries in all 4 compass points near my home, yet I have not been successful in finding a useful tasting notebook until now. I can understand why people say this booklet is the "best" among wine tasting books/forms. Everything is reduced to a well-organized list for you go down and fill as you are tasting a new wine. While there is space for you to add notes, the list/checklist pretty-much covers everything a beginner to wine snob will want to keep notes of. I will be ordering several sets to give out to our wine-tasting friends soon. I will also be buying the hardback to have more pages.

Wonderful book
I researched several wine tasting note 'book's and after reading reviews and seeing how this was laid out and it's size I chose this one. It's really great. I've been tasting and drinking wine for over 20yrs and it just never occurred to me to keep tasting notes. Now I wish I had notes on all of the ones I've had over the years because it's fun, it helps tune your palate and helps you keep track of your favorites as well as letting you compare vintages easier. I definitely recommend this book for wine festivals, informal tastings. winery tastings and for whenever you open a new bottle at home!

Poor construction
Cover/spine coming loose from pages. Still usable, but irritating.

Practical and easy to use!
It’s very useful, practical to carry to wine tasting or a trip. I didn’t get the hard cover but I liked it just fine.I’ve order two, one for me and one for a friend. After that I’ve order three more to give as a gift. The only inconvenient if any, is that the paper is light and with some pens you can see the marks on the other side. But apart form that I think is perfect. With the right amount of information and options to describe a wine and a small part to make notes, and if you need an extra help there is a very convenient cheat sheet in the back.

Buen tamaño
Me agrada que puedo traerlo en cualquier bolsa, pero hay poco espacio para anotaciones extra.
